Checking In

Okay, it’s time for your weekly update into Bailey’s psyche. Well, it’s here, which is about all I can say. I’m not writing because my mind isn’t into focusing at the moment. Too many things are whirling around my brain at the same time. I’m having trouble sleeping – I head to bed at a decent hour, but my body and mind aren’t in sync enough to go to sleep. I’ve tried many things to help me sleep – warm showers, music, nature sounds (which worked one night), even a half a glass of a margarita. Last night nothing worked. I have developed restless legs – a side effect of the medication that I hope passes soon. I’m already lacking in energy, and lacking in sleep doesn’t help. I have to be very careful right now since I seem to be in a spending mood, so I’m staying in a lot and avoiding on-line shopping sites. I was on Borders the other day and ended up pre-ordering Amie’s two up-coming books. *sigh* What can I say, I’m a book addict. That’s what’s going on with me – just waiting for the meds to kick in (about a month – I’ve gone a week and a half on the mood stabilizer and a week on the anti-depressant). I’m tired of waiting.

So, what’s going on in your neck of the woods?

Thanks for letting us know how you are doing. Sorry to hear of the lack of sleep. I know way too much about that myself.
Hate to hear you're not writing. I hope that passes soon.
Book addict? Is there a club, I want to join.
Anyway, we're here for you if you need us!

I hate it when you can't get to sleep at night. Very frustrating.

Nothing wrong with being a book addict! I'm a proud member of that club. ;-)

Ahhh, people, but you see - I have an Amazon credit card. Not a good thing.

I hope those meds settle down and work. Can't be nice. Just take it easy for a while and don't spend any money LOL. I know all about that club!!!

You must have been reading my mind when you were writing this update. So sorry to hear the side-effects are so lousy! Hopefully everything will straighten out soon. Hugs

I can identify with the book buying!

While I'm still adjusting to things, I'm going to make Wednesday the "checking in" day.

Hope you get a good night's rest soon.

I'm a fellow book addict. I think my bookshelf multiplies books when I'm not looking. One minute its halfway organized the next it looks like someone's just thrown books at the shelves.

Working on editing on ms (and trying to forget its requested...fun fun) and writing another. Get sick of one, switch. Sick of that one, switch back. Sick of both? Break time lol

Sorry it's taking so darn long for those meds to start working :(

I would have to guess that most of us here are all bookaholics!

Bailey, I hope your body and the medication become in sync sooner rather than later.

Sorry you're having difficulty sleeping, been there. Are you able to take naps during the day? I find they helpe me when I can't sleep at night.

Book addict club, I've been a card-carrying member for years.

I hope you get some peace soon.

I've had a stressful week, but the worst is over! Yay! Onto bigger and better things for both of us. Or all of us.
