Otherwise we were large and in charge. Too bad we didn't go for the extra point, huh? Or that TO dropped that TD pass, or that Fasano slipped without gaining the big yards towards the end. I see a team on the verge of breaking it open. Can we do it in time to win a wild card berth? Who knows. Next up: Arizona. Do not overlook that one. I think Bledsoe could have done just as well. The problem, I repeat, is the offensive line, not the QB. Dropped passes, collapsing pockets, etc. Penalties. Until we get these things addressed, Roy Williams could be the QB and it wouldn't make any difference. The Redskins. Come on guys. And can we do something about Vandermissit? I do believe that he's our QB for the future, I'm just not 100% totally convinced that this is the year. Let him play the rest of the season - that will get him ready for next year. I just don't see a "winning" season this year with him at the helm. But then again, my head is fogged with cold medications, so what do I know?

And I don't believe we would have gotten where we are, with the draft picks and trades that we've acquired, without Bledsoe. And I'm pretty sure that Romo would not have progressed to this point without an experienced QB to sit behind. That's what Drew contributed to the team - that's what most young QB's need, to study with someone as experienced as a veteran. So I'm pleased with Bledsoe, New England can say what he wants. I think that the other inexperienced QBs that we've had failed because of that "mentor" system. Bledsoe gave us time to build without driving us into the basement doing it.Bailey Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639029254352011915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23142127.post-1162741531831755562006-11-05T09:45:00.000-06:002006-11-05T09:45:00.000-06:00Thanks Kelly. Thanks Kelly.Bailey Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639029254352011915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23142127.post-1162741476675497012006-11-05T09:44:00.000-06:002006-11-05T09:44:00.000-06:00I'm still reserving judgement until they play a te...I'm still reserving judgement until they play a team that's really good - like the Eagles, Indianpolis or NE. And if what you say is true, that the line played up for Romo - then I do blame the line for the losses, not Bledsoe. We'll see. I might be wearing my Quincy-Carter-covered glasses here, but I think Tony might just have that intangible quality that makes for a great quarterback. Cross your fingers Bailey. We need a young guy at our helm to have any chance whatsoever at having a durable team over the next five to ten years. Bledsoe can't play much longer anyway, and frankly, the folks here in New England are telling me they told me so, that Bledsoe can take you only so far before he gives it away with interceptions. I argued that he was doing well, but this season has proved them out blaringly and painfully so.

I don't know about you, but I'm very excited about the possibilities here. Before, I was thinking we were a quarterback shy of a six pack. T...I have to disagree with you on this one Bailey. The fact is that the line needs a slippery quarterback in order to suceed. That's the hand we have been dealt. When the pressure comes to Drew Bledsoe, he makes mistakes, and he supposedly has all that experience that should prevent him from doing so. At least with Romo, there is a chance that right now he will suceed because he can scramble, and he spreads the ball around to our receivers. It's no coincidence that Jason Witten had his first productive day of the season when Romo started. Oh yeah, so did the twenty five million dollar man. Romo has made mistakes, but no more than Bledsoe--but at least he is young and there is a hope that those mistakes are just the first year jitters. He played well against Carolina, and that is not a slouch defense. That was Julius Peppers that Columbo held for no sacks all day. It seems to me that the line played up to Romo, telling me that they favor him as their quarterback. Romo has been here for four years. His time has come.Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13323167263283798566noreply@blogger.com
