Strange Day

Had a very pleasant Sunday. My mother’s sister Alice came in and she, Bebo and I had a nice lunch. I hadn’t seen my Aunt Alice since January, so it was wonderful to catch up with her, but at the same time it was kind of sad. She and mother were best friends, and she was married to my favorite uncle who we lost in January. It was … different. There’d been many potluck dinners in this house over the years, but never with just three people. It’ll take some getting used to. Cowboys didn’t play today, so no football to write about, so I guess this is it.

Hi, Bailey. Though I think of you and Bebo often, I just don't get to blogging.

Please give my heartfelt sympathy to Bebo. This month must really have been hard on both of you. Is her mother still living?

I'm just doing my month-end contest entries and at a blog, I came across your name as one this writer comes to and enjoys.

I hope your health has improved. I feel as if I'm living in a bubble since I'm making no progress anywhere: clearing out junk; getting things organized; getting my income taxes done; seeing an improvement in my health or financial circumstances; etc.

Two weeks ago after visiting the doctor, I did all sorts of errands to try to get my taxes and other things out of the way. I was pretty pleased with myself. But that evening I took the new a-d he'd prescribed and my b.p. went through the roof. I've been struggling even more since then. I even had to miss yesterday at my sister's where at least some of the family went to celebrate her and her husband's 30th anniversary. I always love going to her place but my head was pounding so badly, that I gave up.

Have a good week, both of you.

Hugs to you both.

I'm glad you had such a nice Sunday! It's understandable that it would bring old memories back, just stay strong. Hugs

It was a rather bittersweet day, wasn't it?

Look at it this way, you had family around and had an enjoyable time.

Thinking of you and sending good thoughts and Hugs your way!

My Sunday was pretty event-free, THANKFULLY, considering last weeks drama.
