Unlike some people (Hi Brandy) I don't always have a camera on hand when the cats do something cute, so you're going to have to use your imagination.
You know when Snoopy sits on the roof-edge of his dog house and pretends to be an eagle (or vulture, or whatever)? Substitute a bathroom counter for the dog house, and Bubba the red-necked kitty for Snoopy. I glanced towards the bathroom the other day and there was Bubba sitting next to the sink staring intently at the faucets as if with the power of his mind he could get them to turn on. You see, he has suddenly taken a liking to drinking water from the sink no matter how fresh the water in the dish is. I haven't the heart to tell him he's no mental genius.
I have the laptop going - yeah!!!!!!!!

YAYAYAYAYAYAY! Bailey is back! Woo-hoo! The camera is almost attached to me, yes. In my defense, I never want to miss anything.
Bubba may not be a mental genius, but he's very handsome!
Quiet--don't type too loud JIC :)
Bubba is a cutie :)
Hey--give him time. With practice, he may get it going...
Most cats I know prefer to drink from running water. A friend of mine has a water dish that keeps the water moving, just to please his cats.
Great to have you back.
I don't know what it is about cats and dogs that makes them finicky. Even though my sister's cats have fresh water in their bowl they prefer to lick the droplets of water left in the tub after someone has taken a shower. When my friends stop here with their dog, he won't eat from his food dish anymore. He prefers a regular plate. And whatever we are eating there better be a piece for him that can be cut up because dog food when everyone else is having steak is taboo.
Yay you, you're back!h
You're back! Yeehah!!!
Bubba is gorgeous. Who cares if he's a bit lacking in the brain department?
We love our Bubba - redneck or not! He definitely gives Snoopy a run for his money!
Woohoo!! Good to have you back, Bailey!
My Shadow does a similar thing! He sits there and meows until someone takes pity on him and turns on the water. Bubba is a real cutie!
Charles I (Charlie's predecessor) used to sit in the bathroom sink and wait for us to turn the tap on. Your Bubba is so cute! It's great to have you back, Bailey. I've missed you ...
wb!!! Awww Bubba's cute :)
Glad to see you back, Bailey! I love Snoopy as a vulture - one of my favorite "persona's" of him.
Welcome back!
One of my two girls (Juanita) was sitting at the computer with me and saw Bubba... she's been purring ever since).
Ciao,
Bill
Yes, I'm back! Thank you - I think Bubba's a cutie too. And Bill, he already has a Myspace sweetheart, so tell Juanita that I'm sorry, he's taken.
If he would meow it would make sense, but he just sits and stares at the faucets like he can turn them on with his own brain power. And Devon, it doesn't have to be running water - I'll pull the stopper and put water in the sink and he's a happy camper. And it's not because the ceramic basin keeps the water cool - his water dish is metal. I don't know what it is.
Welcome back Bailey!
Bubba is so cutel; love the pose.
WB laptop Bailey! As for the kitty ESP, they're pretty good at getting US to do whatever they want...in time, I'm sure the faucet will cave in.
Welcome back!! 3 out of my 6 prefer the faucet lol.
Welcome back, Bailey!!!!!!
Love the bubba kitty! Mine like to drink from a running faucet too.
HEY BAILEY!! Welcome back!
As for Bubba, I htink him and my cat Mystery are related. In the mental department anyway. LOL
Hi Bailey,
Thanks for being upfront and honest. I told Juanita... she'll be alright (she has an appointment with her therapist for next Tuesday).
Bill
Congrats on getting back on line!!
Yeah! Welcome back to blogland, Bailey!
Missed you!
You have a Water Watch Cat-
Very cool.
Just in time for Spamarama Friday!!
Yippeee!
I've been in withdrawal ....
Yes! Bailey's back! Missed you - glad you're connected again. Must have driven you bananas.
You sure Bubba isn't turning into a dog? Byron sits and watches cake like that - as if by staring hard enough the cake will levitate and fly into his mouth...
