Don't Let the Parade Pass You By

I didn't go to a parade, it came to me. The Mesquite Championship Rodeo parade kicks off the rodeo season and always comes by the corner where the store is. This is how I spent the first few minutes of my shift, then I got a customer. But not before I got a picture of a cowboy.

And a stagecoach with the grandmarshall - some senator or something.

And of course, a band.

There were actually several bands, but I didn't get to see all of them. One customer who stayed an entire half-hour. Walked several blocks from where she had to park just to get to the bookstore. What dedication. What a way to rain on my parade.

Awww, but you could still hear it, right? And, um, at least it was a dedicated customer?
Try and have a good monday!

Perhaps that cowboy will become a character in one of your stories?

We'll have to do something about those pesky customers! I'm glad you got to see a few minutes of the parade at least.

The parade looks like fun and how lucky it came to you. I've never seen a real cowboy before.

Neat and it looks like you had a good view. My one daughter played clarinet and I miss the days of her marching.

I love parades.

Ooh a cowboy on a horse.
LIke I said before, I think the horse had better fashion sense. His shirt reminds me of the ..
BRAWNY Man!
*snicker/giggle*

But great seats! Maybe next year, you can arrange coverage for 20 minutes to get some good action shots.

As for the dedicated shopper. I would HOPE she spent oodles of money in your store. That's the only way I'd forgive her for depriving you of some potentially great Cowboy views!

Yeehaw!

I'd hate to be the marching band who followed the cowboys and their horses.

Lol on Rene's comment! And that was definitely one dedicated customer. Did he/she buy lots of books?
