Just Another Wednesday

Here it is, Wednesday – hump day and I’m at a loss for what to blog about. We’re experiencing more storms this evening, but that’s Spring in Texas – tornado alley. We just batten down the hatches and ride it out.

The thumb? I pulled up more carpet and was prying the tack boards up with a screwdriver. Evidently I was squeezing it just a little too tightly and popped a blood vessel in my thumb. That stings. It’s much better today, so long as I don’t mess with it.

Contrary to popular belief, the cats did not take over the computer while I was incapacitated – it was closed up and they haven’t figured out how to open it yet. LOL

This weekend Bebo and I will be moving furniture in preparation for pulling up the rest of the carpet. If someone (and you know who you are) would like to drop by on Sunday and help, it would be greatly appreciated. We’d be able to get the mirror down then too – but it’s gonna take at least three people.

That’s it – that’s my Wednesday blog. Just boring stuff around here. No writing, probably won’t have time until Friday.

Really liking the Avatar, the cat in the rain slicker is adorable.
Glad to hear your thumb is better today. Wish I lived closer so I could help.
Have a good wednesday!

Glad to hear your thumb is better today. I also love the kitty in the rain slicker avatar. Tonight's weather didn't turn out quite as what I thought it was.

I'd be there in a heartbeat to help if I lived closer. Besides I think I have to wash my hair sometime over the w/e and that just gets in the way of everything.
On my furniture moving front I didn't like how some of it looked, so four pieces got moved again. Luckily they weren't heavy so no back pain (or maybe the sour apple vodka and ginger dulled the pain) So I think I'm happy with the way the furniture is arranged, maybe, for now.
Glad to hear the thumb is doing better. I think you should take it easy til the w/e.

Glad that your thumb is getting better. Is this The House that you're working on?

If I lived closer, I would come out and help.

I hope the thumb gets better soon. Sorry, won't be able to make it this Sunday ... :oD

Susie, I meant Susie - but thank you everyone for wanting to help. *gg*

Ouch, that sounds painful, but I'm glad it's better today! Take care while you're doing all this work!

So Susie have you been guilted enough into helping Queen Bailey?

Good luck with your furniture moving! Send some of your helpers my way, 'kay?

Bailey Stewart said...

Oh, and Dru - no, it's my house this time. There are hardwood floors under these carpets and we want to expose them for when the house goes on sale.

Meretta - I'd gladly do that if I can get them here first. LOL

I love your Avatar, the kitty is so cute!

Good to hear your thumb is better today. Good luck with furniture moving. Even if I lived close enough to you I'd probably be more in the way than helpful! *g*

Good luck with the carpet! I'd send hubby over, but we're too far away!

Hope it goes well. Pity you can't train the cats to help :) Hope the thumb is better. DD needed a plaster on hers this morning :(

Glad you can at least type with that thumb. Is there a rush in doing the house? Take it easy :)

Bailey Stewart said...

There's not so much as a rush, but there are glue remnants on the floor that can only be gotten rid of by walking over it (months worth of walking) to wear it off. Plus, trash is only picked up once a month and I don't want to wait another month to take the rest of the carpet up. It's only one room. I can take my time with the staples and tack boards if I have to.

Ouch on the thumb! But glad it's feeling better. Pulling up carpet is never a fun job.
