Sunday, Egads!

So, I woke up Friday morning feeling pretty good. Did some blogging while sipping my coffee and eating crackers (I'm not a breakfast person). Then took off for Office Depot (I have a wireless mouse now) and Wallyworld (new tennis shoes, couple of DVD's - one needed, other a manic buy). It was 11:00 before I got home. Made lunch and then ... disaster. I didn't eat enough before and then put food on a stomach full of sinus drainage. Ouch. So I slept most of the afternoon. Lost time that I had hoped to work on the desk. Still feel queasy, so took it easy and watched a movie tonight (World Trade Center). I work a 9 - 1 schedule on Saturday, so that leaves me with Saturday afternoon to finish getting the desk cleared. Saturday night will be the playoff game. Not gonna talk about it. (But I think we should win.)

Sunday. Have I mentioned lately that I don't get along well with my sister? (She thinks we do) The nursing home she was in kicked her out (something about not paying them - go figure). So she moved closer to me. Did I make that clear? She.moved.closer.to.me. She also came to the conclusion (finally) that she will never be going home. She going to sell the house to one of those "we buy ugly homes" companies - ASAP. Sunday. Have I mentioned that she's in a nursing home? Guess who has to pack up her house? Sunday. Bebo and I. Just us. Alone. Why am I doing it? Because it's what mom would want. Sunday. So there might be something posted on the blog that day for you to laugh at, but I won't be around. I'll be packing. Sunday.

Oh, I did manage to get some laundry done. Bubba helped.

Bailey, Bailey, Bailey.
Your family is starting to sound more and more like mine. :-/
(and my cats help with the laundry too, lol).

Well you did once say that we were sisters ...

Yes, I'm still awake. Guess I'll either try writing or reading to a while.

Oy Bailey! That's rough. At least you have your cats. No, don't snicker, I mean it. When I feel my world is crumbling, my cats make me laugh. They make me care.

And your babies are beautiful.

And Bebo sounds the bestest.

Good luck Sunday!!

Well, at least she's delusional, right? Probably not someting to joke about, huh? I know you feel put-upon, but you're right. Family has a sort of responsibility to each other, whether we like it or not. I just can't get over packing a house. In a day. I've unpacked an entire house in a day, but took at least 3 to pack.

Looks like Bubba is a big help around the house. *g* Mine like to help too.
Sorry your desk clearing plans aren't going as planned. Try and get some rest.

Guess I didn't get that quite clear enough - many Sundays until it's done or the end of the month, whichever comes first. The house has to be sold quickly.

Yes Loreth - my kitties are everything. And Bebo is the bestest.

Oh, and did I mention that then we get to have an estate sale. And Cathie said that her ex-husband would help us. Don't even get me started on that one. Sheesh, it's 3:21 a.m. - did I mention that I have to be up by 6:00? I'm toast.

Off to bed now.

Aawww, doesn't Bubba look so comfy in the laundry basket.

I hope you feel better soon and got some sleep. All the best for today and packing on Sunday. Perhaps a football win will brighten up your day.

"Friends are relatives you make for yourself."

I just saw this quote and thought it was kind of fitting since you don't get to pick your relatives.

And I so agree with you, Loreth, again lol.

Try not to overdo, Bailey, {hugs}

I have been checking your blog and wondering where you were but blogger was just stuck. Sorry :)

Ugh--just what you need, your sister moving CLOSER!!! Yikes.

Good luck packing everything up. Maybe you could score something nice (is that a terrible thing to say?) I'm bad!

She doesn't have anything I want, although Bebo (who packed today) did find a book that I'd lent her a couple of years ago. Bebo said that she and Cat's ex hauled out quite a few bags of trash. Ugh.

Taking the high road rarely means the painless or less annoying road. But knowing you're doing the right thing is a blessing. She's LUCKY to have you.

There isn't anything. Really. Don't think I haven't thought about it.
