Attention All Blogsters

Our wonderful Meretta is a finalist in a HUGE writing contest in which the winner is chosen by public vote and awarded a publishing contract from Dorchester Publishing!

* In May she entered a contest called American Title III and out of hundreds of manuscripts received, her book (a romantic suspense titled RISING SIN) was chosen as one of ten finalists.
* The contest's forum is the Romantic Times Books Review Magazine, as well as their web page at www.romantictimes.com (her biography & picture will be in both SOON)
* Each month different parts of their stories are posted -- Best First Line, Best Hero/Heroine Description, Best Story Summary, Best Dialogue Scene, Best Romantic Scene (possible adult content) -- and for two weeks each month people from all over the world (that's you!) vote by email for their favorite entry.
* Two contestants are cut each voting period until only two remain.
* One vote per email address so if you have two, use two. Three? Four? Use them!
* The voting dates are specific (Round one starts Oct 16-29) so there will be reminders at least twice during those time frames.

Please cut/paste this information and pass it on.

Information can be found at Meretta's website

Yep, Meretta, we're all rooting for you. Did RT always have the American Title entries on their web site? I was always very disappointed that I was never able to vote because when I got the RT magazine it was at least a month after the voting had taken place. I hope it won't be in that section "For subscribers only". That would be a major disappointment.

I go to their site quite often since I'm still cataloguing my books and I've never been able to find anything on the "Title" contests.

Yes, the title "Rising Sin" calls forth a host of images. What's the category this time?

Whew. I thought I couldn't enter this comment because the verification box showed up as empty though I was pretty certain that I had my images on. So I had to save my comment and refresh my screen and there it is. Anybody else having that problem?

Anyway, I'll see what I can do to help you along. The problem is that almost everyone I know refuses to use the computer for contests or things like that to prevent it from getting viruses and spam.

I hope the "Mercenary" is in my store so I can get my 25% off. I should have gone a little earlier. Now I have to wait until after 6 p.m. to go so that I won't have to pay for the bus.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your support. :)

And yes RT has always had them up on the site. The category this time around is "contemporary" romance so there's a whole range of different manuscripts...a paranormal, a couple of suspense ones (One is RISING SIN), some chick lit and some "mid" lit and some comedy. You want it? It's there!
