Baby It's Cold Outside

It’s cold outside. Honest. I know it’s not cold compared to my compadres up North, but highs in the lower 40s are still cold nonetheless. And I’m trying to keep my bills down, so I’m sitting here with an electric blanket over me and my little heater running. If you go stand next to the heater, it’s 50 degrees. But only if you stand next to it. I’ve also become the most popular mom in the world. The cats love the electric blanket, to the point that they often trap me in it. That has an unusual side-effect. They get me tucked in and then I’m like the little kid that you just got the snowsuit on and then they suddenly have to go potty. Yep. You try moving four cats off of you. Without using your hands. Bound in a blanket trying to cajole four contented cats to move off of the warm covering. Not that easy to do.

Christa has gotten me hooked on a new pastime. It’s called Christmas Hangmen. Originally Halloween Hangman, and then Thanksgiving Hangman. It’s like Lays chips, I can’t stop at one. Even when I learn all of the words and can get 1500 and so points, I can’t stop playing. Now they’ve switched to Christmas and I have a whole new set of words to learn. I rarely get up to 500 points now. But I’ll keep at it until I learn those damn words if it kills me. If you want to play, go here.

There’s also a new review at Isn’t it Romantic. Go check it out.

You're evil! I'm addicted to Holiday Express, a sort of Tetris-derivative with Christmas pictures on a train. (Hard to explain.)

It's way too cold. I have to keep my little space heater off because, with the Christmas lights on, it trips the circuit breaker. I'm cold. :-(

If I blow out a big puff of air, I fog up my glasses. That's how cold it is in here.

And I know I'm evil. Brawhahahaha

ooh, new games to play even though I'm lousy with hangman.

Suprisingly, it was warm for a November up here.

Have a good evening.

Well, my average right now is around 200, but I'm starting to recognize some of the words.

I've been playing the office depot games again this year. My kids like the "Beebee" gun game. It was in the high 40's here today. We are worried about another ice storm later this year. We lost power last time. SO not fun.

Stay warm!

Don't lead me to temptation ...

It's going to get up into the 50s tomorrow (some of the meteorologist say 60s), so I'll get out and wrap the outdoor pipes before it gets cold again.

Stay warm, Bailey!

I'm scared to follow that games link...with good reason by your description!

Oh but you forty-got to review the MOVIE we watched! In my WARM apartment! (okay, not as funny as you trapped by cats under the electric blanket, but at least I don't have frostbite...)

We had a cold weekend but today is kind of mild. I'm contemplating going for a short walk on my lunch hour.

I was feeling extremely bad for you with the coldness down there in Texas. But now that you got me hooked on Christmas Hangmen, I hoping the cats pin you done every chance they get! :-P

I truly enjoy Dianne Castell's and Karen Kelley's books. And Lori Foster is always a sure bet.

Bebo and I watched "Ocean's 13" and it was really good - but you have to pay close attention to everything.

Yikes! Like I need ANOTHER way to procrastinate!

Stay warm. I want to check out the link, but I'm on deadline and don't think that would be a good idea. I'll have to come back and try it later.

Hi Bailey,

I don't know were you're at, but today here in St. Pete Beach it was 81 degrees out on my dock. I think I'll stay for a while.

I love your story about your cats -- my two do similar things when I wake up in the middle of the night to "go" -- they look at me with that "How dare you!" look on their faces.

Ciao for now,

Bill

I loved the Halloween Hangman and it was addictive. Good to know Christmas has one too, I know where I am headed next!

Pass me another cat, it's cold in here ;-) Stay warm and cozy!

Oh yes, I remember the lets-pin-the-human-under-her-duvet game with three cats, plus at the time I was sleeping in a single bed. You end up sort of S-shaped, hanging off the edge of the bed, unable to disturb them.

I only have the one cat now and a bigger bed...but you'd be amazed how much room he takes up. Actually, you probably wouldn't!

No sympathy from the Great White North, I'll tell you that! It actually hasn't snowed up here but for a little last week, but I would be sun-bathing in forty-degree weather.

It was good to see you again. I've been pretty busy, but I'm really loving our team right now. Maybe I'll write something more about them when I get the time, since I have one reader who will care. I usually avoid the subject because everyone glazes over, but I really enjoy it.

The latest big game on Thursday. Can't wait.
