I've Found a Man

For those who came over from the other blog - did you forget we had a contest going on? The assignment was to find someone for me to model a secondary character on. The prize was a copy of Jill Shalvis' Room Service. My pick from your entries? No one. Sorry, but I was sitting here at my desk the other day and since there wasn't a mess to look at I started looking at my "potential characters" board on the wall above the desk and there he was ... my Scott Thorton (not our Scott - the name was picked out two years ago). Scott is a bit of a rebel, cowboy, Harley Davidson riding, ex-military, hard-ass. And who better to be his model than ... Josh Halloway. So who gets the book? I took all of the suggestions by those that wanted the book and put them in a box and picked. Mark-Paul Gosselaar was the name I picked out and Susan entered that name. So Susan wins a copy of Room Service! Yay Susan. As soon as Olga decides which book she wants from winning the draw last week, I'll get up to the post office and mail it off to you. No need to send the address, I still have it.

Wait for a minute while I drool, okay?

All right. (Deep breaths)

Now I'm going to send you away. Yes, I'm sending you to another couple of blogs. First it's over to Jordan Summers where she has a great product for you exercise freaks (er, fanatics? um, devotees?). It's called Prime Condition and you really should check it out.

Secondly, Dennie has a short story that you just have to read - Scruffy Dog Review - "Hudson Flotsam". It's funny.

Nothing more to talk about. Y'all be good now - and if you can't be good please invite me along!

"So, what time did you go to sleep last night?"

"Between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m."

"What! Didn't you have to be up at 6:00?"

"Yep, woke up at 5:30" (Thud!)

There is something about his acting style that I don't like, but he certainly looks the part. Good choice.

Poor Eve!!!!!

I like your picture, but I have to admit, I didn't know who Josh was. *sheepish* We don't watch Lost. We'd love to, but we missed the first season and we hate coming in late. Maybe someday we can get the DVDs and watch from the beginning. I've heard it's an excellent show.

Bailey Stewart said...

Scott - I don't think I've paid attention to his acting style ;)

Joely - I used to watch it, but I don't any more. Bebo held on longer than I did, but even she's gotten tired. They're just too stingy with answers. But lots of other people love it (evidently) so who am I to say. I just love the look - its exactly everything I was looking for.

Thanks Eve!

I have never seen Lost (Hides head in shame) I just couldn't get hooked on a new series...

Diane said...

No, I wouldn't be bothered about his acting style either. :o)

But is it Josh you like or the character of Sawyer? I'm a bit like that with Johnny Depp. Of course, I love him to bits, but I do have a special spot for his Captain Jack Sparrow ...

Denise McDonald said...

Captain Jack Sparrow ...

right there with you !

Bailey Stewart said...

The bod goes with whatever character he's playing - yeah, its the bod.

Dennie - you're welcome - its a good story and should be read.

Diane and Dennie - I like Captain Jack too.

But I do have a character I love more than the actor - that's Aragorn - Viggo is nice looking, but Aragorn is ahhhhhhhhhh!

Anonymous said...

hm, I guess he is OK.... :) :)

I have never--well I think I saw one or two--watched Lost either...

Captn Jack...now there is a character for you :) can't help but love him!!! I can not wait for the next installment :)

Oh YEAH Aragorn...wooweee....

I love Dierks Bentley!!! His latest video (country for those of you who don't know) is sooooo hot!!! Oh yeah...he can come a little closer anyday :)

I am heading over to read Dennie's story right now :)

And as one of those freaks-ah fanatics-I already added my name to the list at prime condition! I think that sounds sooooo cool! I am going to share that sight with everyone I know!

Bailey Stewart said...

Yeah, Prime condition does sound good - but I don't have an MP3 player for one thing and exercise (shudder) ... I can't even work up the energy to get the room finished.

Toni Anderson said...

Oh dear!
Yes he's sexy, no idea who he is mind :)

Thank goodness you didn't steal Sean I have plans for him :)

Aragorn--totally agree there. Who would have thunk a man with a beard would be such a turn on? :D

That's it?!?!? surely there is more to Dennie's story???? There has to be more than what is there??? Argh...got me "hooked" hee hee but I need more :)

Amie Stuart said...

GAAAAAAAAAA he's perfect(ly yummy)

Bailey Stewart said...

Yes, I love Viggo when he's scruffy - I liked Aragorn better when he was scruffy - I loved Stryder!

Plans for Sean, huh?

Diane said...

Y'see, there again, I'm not a Viggo fan at all ... but Aragorn ... well. Stunning.

Bailey Stewart said...

Hey you two - stop that. No blogging in while I'm answering someone else.

Glenice - yeah, Dennie done good.

Cece - now isn't that a wonderful way to start a morning ;)

Bailey Stewart said...

Diane - and I like Farimir (sp?) better than David Wenham - who is a cutie too.

Bailey Stewart said...

I didn't even think about that - although I've never had a problem with the other cuties I've posted on bravenet. Hmmmmm, I'll see what happens. Ooh, scary.

Thanks Eve! I'm looking forward to reading 'Room Service', as a matter of fact I was going to order it next month.

I think your choice of Josh Holloway is terrific. He's hot! I am drooling too.LOL

Hope you get in a good nap today.

Bailey Stewart said...

Good looooong nap - please!

You're welcome Susan. In the mail next week.

Christa said...

Drool worthy. I'm another one, never really watched Lost.
I think a lot of characters in LOTR trilogy were cuter than other roles. Same with Johnny Depp, he was "hubba-hubba" as Jack Sparrow but not so much in Finding Neverland.
Eve, I was right up with you until 3. Oh and I found another blog, Donna Kauffman's, but I still check yours first.

Bailey Stewart said...

You better *gg*

You're right - I prefer Captain Jack over Willy Wonka! But on the flip side, there's Hugh Jackman who I just adore period, no matter what.

Christa said...

I course I wouldn't mess with my order nobody messes with my order. You can't go around messing with peoples routines.

Toni Anderson said...

LOL--Jack Sparrow is hot, but most of Johnny's other roles are not!

Sean will be a police detective in the future. I think he might be the best ever police detective but we'll see.

I hope you have a good nap. Sounds heavenly BTW!

I've not had a chance to check in the last couple of days. So what greets me when I return but a luscious man. Thank you for the eye candy.

As for LOTR, it's amazing what a difference hair color makes, i.e., Orlando Blooms character as well.

Bailey Stewart said...

Christa - Amen Sista!
Toni - I think Sean will make a very good police detective.
Susie - yeah, I didn't care for Orlando as a blond.

He certainly looks the part you've described. Glad you found him. This having a picture on front of you to model the character on seems to work well for other authors. I'm sure that it will inspire you.

I was finally going to watch this hit show LOST this season. But I have no TV connection so I can't. It seems to happen so often now that a show is a big hit in its opening season--I'm thinking of "Felicity" and "Alias" as two of them. I loved those shows in their first seasons and part of their second. Then I think I missed a few episodes and when I got back to them, everything was so muddled and constantly changed that I got completely lost. Nothing seemed to make sense anymore. I wonder why that is.

BTW, those of you who know where to look for hunks may want to have a look at http://www.themysticcastle.com/society/main.htm. One author got the perfect guy on the cover of her book but can't find out who he is. She's offering a prize to whoever can identify him.

Oh, yeah, Dennie. I forgot about your story. I read it last "night" but didn't take the time to comment. I thought it was really cute. Is there a mystery that comes out of this? LOL. You could certainly make one.

Since LOTR was the only movie I've ever seen with Viggo or Orlando (or most of the other cast members), I loved both of them in their roles. I think I wouldn't recognize Orlando if he doesn't have that blond hair. First impressions really do matter. And these are the only roles I've ever seen them in.

Bailey Stewart said...

Ruby - I hate it when they mess with my TV series.

Orlando - IMHO - is much better looking with his natural brunette color.

Brandy said...

Just wanted to say HI! This is the first I've been able to get on today and now I'm off to bed!

Anonymous said...

I would agree, Orlando is better looking with his natural brunette hair.
