A (Very) Little Irish Humor

A young Irishman sat at a pub in the New World drinking beer and conversin' with the barkeep. Another comes in and sits besides him. He says “how you do?” hears a lilt and says “you be Irish?”
“Yes I am.” The first man yells. ”Barkeep give us another round and one for my friend here he's from the mother country as well.”
The second man asks-so where in the old country ye from. ”Dublin” responds the first.
“Dublin you say - so am I” and the second man hollers “barkeep bring us another round and a shot of your best Irish Whiskey for me and my friend here."
Afterwards the first man asks from where in Dublin and the second man responds with the street and the first man says “well I'll be - so am I” and yells barkeep another pair of beers and Irish Whiskey for the pair of us. The phone behind the bar rings and the barkeep answers it. The owner of the pub asks how’s business. The barkeep responds “not too bad - The O'Malley twins are here getting drunk again.”

Have a great Saturday!

Well, the weekend didn't start out very well. We had a near fight between customers (men of course) and of course I was the only employee on duty! And there were no other men in the store to help. My co-worker was next door in the storage room and we had a problem with the phones earlier, so I couldn't page him!!!!! Somehow, they managed to not come to actual blows - schoolyard stuff, wasn't even a big deal!! Sheesh - testosterone rules. BUT, I'm just finishing lunch, it's raining (ergo no kids outside), so I'm off to dreamland.

Y'all, Devlin just had a seizure - not a small one either. That's his first in a week. What's going on here?

Bebo isn't here and I just found a note from her indicating that Devlin had a seizure this morning too.

Hope he's getting better.

Really cute story/joke!

Oh, no, Eve. Here I thought you were finally going to get your longed-for nap. Poor you; poor Devlin. I'm so sorry.

I guess we all thought he was over his problem.

Hugs to you both and prayers.

Eve, sorry to hear about Devlin's setback. Were you able t get in touch / the vet? We'll keep you both in our prayers.

Oh dear! I thought he was better too.((((Eve and Devlin))))I'll keep you both in my prayers tonight. BTW I got Blogger to make it easier to comment here, but I'm staying with Bravenet for posting for the time being. Take care and I hope the news is better tomorrow. It's midnight in the UK and I'm off to bed, but Charlie cat's in "attack toes mode" having stayed in for much of the day due to the unseasonal cold weather so it will probably be an interrupted night's sleep. Nothing compared to what you're going through you poor love . . .

LOL great joke, must copy that one.

Oh no *hugs* Hope he's doing better! Do you notice if he's doing anything similar before one starts? I know sometimes my dog used to have a weird sort of reaction to the carpeting every once in awhile. Maybe there's something in his environment setting them off?

Brandy - no the vet's office closes at noon, so we're just waiting it out.

Siobhan - me too. He was up and playing hard this morning. In fact, at one point he was half hidden under a throw rug playing hide and go seek with Bailey. The POP they're back.

Lis - If it weren't for the fact that his white blood count was way up, indicating an infection AND that he had experienced something close to this (although at the time I didn't know it was seizures) when he was only a few months old, I would think it was some sort of environmental thing. But, those two things aside - nothing like that has changed.
