Just Because

Yep, that's me. Wasn't I a cutie? So why am I posting this picture? Not gonna tell - it's an experiment, and if it works then you'll know why; if it doesn't ...

I just got off the phone with Cece. We talked for 2 hours! I haven't talked that long on the phone since I was a teenager. It was so nice to talk to another grown-up - I mean, I do have Bebo, but she works all day and I'm stuck with mother. Remember when your kids were toddlers (and some of them still are) and you just couldn't wait to talk to an adult? That's how I feel sometimes. So it was so great to talk with her. I just couldn't believe the time when she mentioned it. Two hours?!? I guess it's a good thing I have over 1,000 rollover minutes on the cell phone, huh? And then the damn thing decided to drop the call towards the end! I thought it had gone dead (which would have really made me mad since I had just charged it), but no - nothing wrong with it - Cingular just decided we had talked long enough. So I came inside the house and called her back on the "land line". Much clearer anyway.

Well, since it's nearly 11:30 I guess this is all I have to say for now. Remember, back to normal (whatever that is) Monday.

Y'all have a great Easter.

It worked - it worked!!! Look, I have a little picture next to my entry. I did what Scott suggested, posted a picture that I wanted to use and presto chango - there I am!

Precious, precious, precious! Love that pic! And isn't Cece the greatest? And so smart! And, no, she didn't pay me to say that, LOL!

You-did-it-You-did-it!

And hey - I can use the money, who can I get to pay me to say wonderful things about them?

Happy Hoppy-day

What a little cutie! Love it. :) Congrats on getting the picture up.

I'm glad you had such a nice talk with Cece.

Oh how I remember the teenage years and spending hours on the phone. Unfortunately my dad doesn't remember them as fondly since he was the one trying to get through to my mom!

Bebo, how much do you charge? LOL

Is this the same woman who said she hated the phone the other day??? LOL. You are adorable petal!!!

Bebo--what's the rate??

I'm waiting until I change to digital phone network at the end of the month and then I'm having a phonathon!!!

Toddlers and sleep...oh yes I relate. My babies were excited and up at 6 am. The crabby bunny told them Easter egg hunts didn't start for another hour at least and GET BACK TO BED. Everybody cried. Except DH. He slept through it LOL.

Good morning everyone!

Sandy - Cece rocks!

Bebo - *snort*

Meretta - Thanks.

Happy Easter Joely!

Susan - when I moved into this room as a teenager my brother had just moved out and left a second line so I had my own phone - heaven. I used to be able to talk on the phone, watch a TV program and read a book all at the same time AND know what was going on with all of them. Ahhh, the teenage mind.

Toni - I know, that's what amazes me - 2 hours! I do that occasionally. I have unlimited long distance anywhere in the continental US, but rarely use it. Glenice and I used to talk for about an hour once a month, but we haven't done that in a while.

What a cutie! :)

We lost land AND cell phones the other day. Somebody cut a fiber optic cable. I was going nuts because I couldn't get online. *g*

That picture is just so cute. You just get better looking with age.

Bailey Stewart said...

Tori - I think I would go slowly nuts without the internet.

Christa - forget about Bebo - how much money do you want?

Cute photo. I bet we're about the same age.

Happy Easter!

Adorable picture. I'm so technically disadvantaged lol.

Happy holidays to everyone and hope you get to share it with friends and family or at least a good book :)

Thanks Jeanne!

Bebo and I have watched Batman Begins (loved it), so now I think I'm going to take a lovely nap. Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

To all who have inquired: my rates are negotiable. Let's talk... ;> *snort*

And yes, we watched Batman Begins & both of us liked it, both laughing & snorting in all the same places. Very cool. LOVED Michael Caine as Alfred. What a hoot!

Dennie - nope, she wanted to sit outside all evening.

Thanks - but I really am getting a little tired of this one. I'm going to have to look for something else.

You were such a cutie!

I know the feeling about talking to adults - when I stayed home with my daughter all day, I longed for adult conversation!

What a cute little girl, Eve! Yep, you were and are a real sweetheart, absolutely adorable.

I've had 2-hour conversations once in a while. Which reminds, I must get a long-distance service again. Haven't really called anyone, long distance, since March 10. Wow. I guess that's what the Internet is good for, at least for those people whose e-mail address I have.

Hope all of you had a lovely Easter Sunday. We have Easter Monday and all the official places, unionized workers, and schools have the day off. The place almost seems empty. I had a doctor's appointment and it seemed there were fewer cars around than on a Sunday. I guess my doctor has so many patients that he decided he'd see some today.

Everything back to normal around your place?

Actually, looking at the digitalized picture reminds me that I'm supposed to practice with my friend's camera. Still haven't found mine and finally want to put some things up on eBay. Janet needs it back tomorrow because her daughter is returning from a 6-week school-related project in B.C. tomorrow and she wants to take pictures of the "returning heroine", Allie. So I'd better get going. I was going to comment yesterday, but I was so exhausted that I just didn't get around to blogging at all.

Still thinking of you.

I do wish you'd call yourself a care"giver" in the description of who you are. It's so much more appropriate.

Bailey Stewart said...

Hmmmm, I hadn't thought of it in those terms Ruby. I just might do that.

Everythings settling down here I guess, still those odd moments when I feel intense sorrow. Guess that will continue for a while.

Amie Stuart said...

COOLLLLLLL and I loved talking to you!!!

Sandy I'm blushing!
