Ugh, Monday

The picture is for Brandy - I told her I would post a pic of one of the cats every once in a while. This is Aidan. I hope I haven't posted this one on this blog. Forgive me if I have. Anyway, Aidan has a sad story with a HEA that I will tell sometime.

Listen folks, I've been giving this "I Hate Monday" thing a little thought, and I have come up with a couple of ideas.

Let's start with a new day to follow Sunday. I call it Unday. Sort of a transitional day between the weekend and the start of the week. Everybody works only half a day with a full day's pay. Some in the morning, others in the afternoon. Same with school. See, like getting ready for the work week. Anyway, I'd add another day after Friday - Fairday. Same deal as Unday, but if you worked morning on Unday, you work afternoon on Fairday.

Now, with these extra days, we would have to add a couple of new months to the year. I say we call the first one Maybe and it lies between March and April. Maybe it will be Spring, maybe it will be Winter. This will give Mother Nature a chance to decide what she wants to do, be cold or start warming up. That way, by April it will definitely be Spring. That leaves us with one more month. I'll call it Ioweber. This comes at the end of the year. It's the time for getting caught up on the money you spent over Christmas. Everyone gets double pay the entire month. Interest rates will lower by 50% for Ioweber only.

Bebo says the lack of sleep is really starting to mess with my mind. What do you think?

Oh, and you have an assignment. Each of you give me a noun. One noun. Only one, and if you give me Duckbilled Platypus I just might have to hurt you. I feel the need to play *gg*

Reluctant Reunion Word Count: 6,177

Tiger, it's in the cat family. Gee, what else did you expect me to say? Heh-heh! I like your 2 new months idea. And sweetie? Yeah, you need to find some sleep soon!

If you put this together, I think you'll like it. Has to be done today.

See, *I* wrote only one.

Now that I've given you what you asked for, I think the extra months and days sound fine--as long as we do get full pay for them, also pensions, etc.

Well, I think you already knew you needed sleep. I sure hope you've been at it since you wrote the blog entry and are able to stay asleep at least until the alarm rings. That would be great.

Hugs.

Nope, it's 1:25 and I'm still up. Told you that lack of sleep doesn't bode well for anyone.

Ruby - I did the puzzle, that was fun, Thank you.

Wow, I like your Unday plan! Can we start today?

Noun: rascal

Scott said...

Very creative Eve; I think Unday should be put to a vote, because I could really use that. I also vote for 36 hour days. Eight for work, Eight for work around the house, Eight for personal pursuits--hobbies, dreams, writing--and eight for sleep.

Bailey Stewart said...

Joely - we can if as far as I'm concerned.

Oooooh Scott, I like that - except in my case if would still only be 4 for sleep :(

Diane - good girl. This should be interesting ...

Oh and everybody - if you want to know how my evening went just look at the time this post was done. It was up earlier than that, but I came back later and did edits, so yes, that was when I finally crawled into bed. 6:00 came awfully early.

I think Bebo's right! LOL!

Dennie - I'm losing my mind.

Bailey Stewart said...

Thanks Peggy - hmmmm, I haven't had breakfast - fudge sounds good.

So far I think I most of you are on my side.

*hugs* on the lack of sleep!

Bailey Stewart said...

Sleep - two vowels, 3 consonants but a completely foreign word to me.

Toni Anderson said...

Oh dear. You poor thing. After 4 days of hell my horrors are back in their groove. Doesn't mean we don't have messy accidents to clean up in the evening from previously pristine carpets but that is life.

Stain. That's a good word for you.
:)

forgot..... "Hawaii"

Bailey Stewart said...

Stain is fine - as long as it isn't Duckbilled Platypus (or something close) I'll be fine. Hey, reminds me - I need to check up on Jennifer.

Bailey Stewart said...

Hawaii Dennie - Freudian thought there?

What a gorgeous cat. You want a noun? How's Lion? :-)

Bailey Stewart said...

He's a pretty boy.

Okay folks - I have Lion, Tiger and Cats - no more animals please.

Oh and I forgot - you can eat whatever you want on Unday and Fairday with no consequences - weight, cholesterol, diabetes, etc.

I love the part about eating whatever you want with no consequences! :)

Aidan is absolutely beautiful. I'd love to hear his story.

I hope you get a chance to get in a nice nap today.

Hospital - good girl Susan. I'll tell Aidan's story on Thursday. Exercise in Tuesday, Meme on Wednesday (yes, you heard me - Thank you Jo), then Aidan's story on Thursday - I love it when my blog week gets planned out.

Yes, Aidan is Glenice's favorite. Crashed huh? Oooh, sorry. Nova Scotia - yeah, I can work with that.

Meretta - come back tomorrow and you'll find out. F-18 (that might have gone up there with Duckbilled Platypus if it weren't for the word that Jo's lovely Dotes gave me - orinithology! It's okay - I can work with it. Will try to get some sleep.

Jo!!!!

WOW you are going to need to sleep to use Dotes word! And Merretta's!

Oh I just saw that Lori Foster has a new "Bad Boys" book out this month :) When good things happen to bad boys...did you already get it? :)

baby

There's a story that goes with that word I'll share with you later.

Lis said...

Aidan's adorable!
Hope you can catch up on sleep soon.
My noun - rain

Bailey Stewart said...

2 hour nap. I laid down for a 3 hour one, but the phone kept ringing - how come if I don't sleep the phone doesn't ring, but if I do ... And mom no longer remembers that I'm sleeping, so of course she comes and wakes me up.

Glenice - no I didn't know that. And yes, Dotes word threw me.

Insomnia - good one Jeanne

Carol - I'm thinking about starting a revolution.

Rene - a good, long sleep

Brandy - And he's a (relatively) good boy.

Susie - you'd better.

Bailey Stewart said...

Hey Lis - No early night tonight - Mom loves Jay Leno's Stupid Headlines, so I'll be up watching that with her (I know, she wouldn't remember if I didn't tell her, but I'm already tricking her with the bedside clock only 1/2 hour ahead - gives me an extra 1/2 in the morning). So hopefully a better nap tomorrow.

My word: couch

I think we should have started w/ Unday today. 5am came waaaaay too early for me....

Anonymous said...

Sorry, Eve - I didn't realize it was supposed to be a noun (the only other type of word I know besides verb). I mean, what's with all this pluperfect subjunctive pronoun stuff? So, how about hyrax? You can't eat 'em, but they sure are cute.

Michele said...

*sigh* First it was A VERY merry UnBirthday, which is EVERY day that is not your birthday, now you come up with Unday...
So, undies are updies?
Undo is undone
Until is ...unknown...

noun...hmmm, one word???

TEOSINTE

Bailey Stewart said...

Dotes! I reserve the right to fall back on your original word if hyrax gives me a migraine.

Michele - I get you some day.

Mary said...

I like your calendar plan too! And I agree with Jason... definitely a 36 hour day! I'd like to sleep a little more than 4 hours too... just a little ;)

none: tree

Thanks Mary - you barely made it as I'm just finishing up my night blogging and about to start the project.

I plan on sleeping Wednesday. Hear that phone, mom, cats, neighbors ...
