Oh Bother

Still feeling icky. Made a mistake today - we (that being Bebo and I) went out to the cemetery to check on mom's grave (see if the tombstone was right). It's in the 50s and VERY windy. Not only that, but did I mention it was windy? The entire right side of my face hurts - all the way to my ear. Bebo is coughing. That wind got our sinuses BAD (and mine were just starting to settle down). Now I have to go into Moldworld (er, work) for 8 hours. Great.

Went to Borders and Bookstop (for those of you who don't know - Bookstop is one if Barnes and Nobles stores) for applications today. While there, I prominently displayed books by The Shalvis, Loreth and Jo Leigh. That was fun. What isn't is trying to find references. Huh? The last job I had before this one was for the 1990 U.S. Census. That was a temporary office and I have no idea where any of those people are. All I want to do is get through these holidays and start seriously getting in to my writing again. Do I really need utilities? I mean, isn't electric and running water over rated? If I didn't have to pay for those things, I wouldn't have to find another job - hence lots of time for writing, right?

I also work with the boss for the first four hours - fun, fun. NOT!

Seems as if you have the same type of problem I do. My biggest bill at the moment is actually not yet billed. I suddenly tripled my hydro use from April to May. I couldn't figure out why and my landlord keeps telling me that the rest there is what I still have coming back to me. I guess he doesn't understand what "portion not yet billed" means when you're on a supposed plan of what you need per month with the rest being smoothed out at the end of the year. My portion of "not yet billed" is over $550. That means over 55% of my monthly "income" aka disability pension. But sure, I can do without light, fridge and computer. After all, I'm already doing without TV, video and radio. Luckily, the heating is by water and the landlord pays for that.

Sweet thoughts and prayers that your problems will somehow be solved. I'm praying for myself as well for that. Also for me to find something gainful (as in gaining money) to do.

God bless you. Sometimes He doesn't answer right away, but He does answer.

Ooh, I was the first to blog. Here's a site I came across that I hope will help me http://www.christianwomenonline.net/One_Thousand_Gifts.html.

This is a little different from what I expected. Just have a look at it and it might help you as I hope it will help me. I know I'm always very negative in my thinking. I can't see the roses for the thorns. This site shows us how to think differently.

Oops, I guess the link isn't clickable after all. Sorry about that. I've put a shortcut to it on my desktop to remind me of it.

Sorry to hear that you and nw Bebo aren't feeling well. Good luck on the job front. I tried Books-a-Million a few weeks ago, but I guess they want someone who can work past 2 pm (Dh has the oddest work schedule). Seriously, your job situation is in my prayers! Oh, and good one with facing out the Shalvis and others!

Wrong.
I've been without those things.
You do not want to go there. :-(

Feel better, all!

*hugs* Hope you and Bebo feel better soon.

Good luck with the apps, hope you get some good news :o)

And I'd have to think electricity is important, it powers the comp and helps keep you writing *g*

Sadly, you need power for the pc and printer, and you need to see what you're doing, and you need to keep warm while you're doing it. Sorry, Bailey, looks like I'll have to wish you luck with the job.

Hope you and Bebo are feeling better soon!

Good luck with the job hunting. And if you get a job in one of those places, there may be less mould. Feel better soon - both of you.

I seem to need the utilities, but the broom, mop, sponge and vacuum? Not so much :) Feel better soon sweetie!

Truthfully y'all - I may not have a choice. As of right now I don't have the money to get through next month. Honestly. I think that's another reason I keep getting sick - depression wears down the body. I wasn't going to say anything, but hell - you're my friends, so you deserve to know the truth of what's going on here.

Haha...I do that to when I'm in bookstores. Put all the authors from RWAC face out!

OUch! Bailey!
I hear you with regards to $$. One year it was so tough, my mom bought a whole bunch of pasta and nonperishables to get us through. That was 2 years ago. We would have made sure the kids ate, but we wouldn't have had much for ourselves if it wasn't for my mom.

I hope things do get better for you, Bailey, the job propects, yours and Bebo's health and financially.
Heavy cross to bear all at once.
You're in my thoughts.
HUGS!!!!

Jordan - I'm afraid it might come to that. Getting a little desperate here.
