Whatcha Readin'?

(Blogspeak for - it's Thursday and I have nothing to blog about)

Okay folks, line 'em up. I want to know what you've just finished reading, what you're reading now and what's on the bedstand waiting. And, what are you waiting for eagerly? Ooooh, Oooooh, me first!

I just finished Tall, Tanned & Texan by Kimberly Raye and I enjoyed it.
I'm reading The Player by Rhonda Nelson and it is very good. (review on it later)
What's up next? Closer ... by Jo Leigh; Hidden Obsession by Joanne Rock; Let's Pretend by Raine Weaver (as soon as my copy gets here - I already have the copies to give away)
Waiting? Sleeping with Fear by Kay Hooper (July 18) and Bad Boys Southern Style which has a story by Jill something or other (also July). Of course, I have a lot of books pre-ordered so I don't remember what's up next. Makes opening packages from Amazon a lot of fun.

So, what about you?

Hmmm, books. (see my eyes glaze over!) I am currently rereading Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard. I have nothing on my nightstand(time to hit the library-they suck-or the UBS). I want to read Undead and Unpopular by MaryJanice Davidson(waiting on the sucky library), Dirty Laundry by Tori Carrington(again, sucky library) and a Taste of Temptaion by Amelia Grey( still looking for it). Next month Mysteria an anthology with MaryJanice Davidson and Surf's Up, an anthology with Nina Bangs will be released and I want to read those, too. But, at this point I am desperate to get a new (at least to me)book SOON!

Brandy - poor baby. I kind of wish I had your problem. I have too many books to read and got waaaay behind in my reading while confined to the study.

Kelly - me too, but I haven't read it yet (see above comment). I want to get a few other things out of the way that have been sitting on the night stand before I lose any chance of getting cash back at work and I figured if I have it read by August ...

Raine - Emma Holly - I like her.

Michele - I've ordered the first one of the Monroe series (Ready?)based on your recommendation.

S is for Silence by Sue Grafton was due out at Christmas. I pre-ordered it and then got told it was delayed. I've just checked and it came out in May, so I guess I'll be placing an re-order at Amazon any day now. I've not done a lot of reading lately, though.

I don't think "The Unfinished Nation" (my textbook for next quarter) is exactly what you're going for. Definitely not sexy, lol!

I tried to read DaVinci Code but that was a bust. I then tried to get into Jo Goodman's Season to be Sinful because I love her writing, but the head hopping was preventing me from getting into the characters. Now I'm halfway through The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova and loving it. I have a list of books up next: Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas, Dreams Made Flesh by Anne Bishop, a few contemporaries I put on hold at the library for a change of pace and about a hundred others in my TBR pile. Good thing I have a vacation coming up next month...

I have Raine's book in my cart at Amazon but I have to wait 'til the DH isn't paying attention ('bout a week or so - hehehe)

But I recently bought (another reason I have to wait on Rain's the dh saw me buy those - sheesh - men!) the other two books in the Royal Brotherhood series by Sabrina Jefferies. I had the first for a while and just never got around to buying the other two = so I am re-reading the first one 'cause I cannot remember the details - then I will delve into the others... was that too long - sheesh - coffee is just kicking in!

Kelly - ahhhh, vacation.

No Dennie - it wasn't too long, but go have your coffee anyway.

Toni - what are the criminology books?

Stacy - I should be getting my July Harlequins in about a week or so.

Susan - sounds like some good ones.

Michele - Too bad you don't like anything you read. LOL
