My New Bedroom

Here it is - minus curtains and some more pictures (I still haven't decided what else to put up).

In some of the pictures, the wall will look orange, but it isn't - it's Georgia Clay.
Wanna closer look at the cross-stitch on the wall? Brandy made it for me - just click here. The weird thing? Two of these pictures have orbs in them. One photo is with the light off, the other is with the light on. In one of them, the orb is on the side of the bed - that's real close to where mom's head would have been when she died. In the other, it's on the wall near the cross-stitch. Before hospice, the head of the bed was there and that's close to where mom's head would have been when she sat up. This isn't the first time (check second picture). And I took a lot of pictures - they aren't there in all of them. The close-up of the bed is really me trying to show you the books at the bottom of the bedstands. That's my TBR pile (minus the ebooks of course).

(The Shalvis Shrine - see, no bobble head dolls, burned candles, or life-sized portrait - honest!)

Sandy's right. It is very pretty and looks like you could just feel warm and cozy when you snuggle up to read or watch tv. You did good!!

And as for the Shalvis shrine, I bet you hid the candles and cookie offerings before you took the picture *G*.

Love the bedroom! And you have more of my books than I do, lol. I feel very honored, Eve, thanks.

I love the Georgia Clay colour. It looks warm and cosy, the perfect place for relaxing.

It is cozy - I do about 80% of my reading in that bed, so the cross-stitch fit perfectly in both color and for the saying.

Y'all - the colors are so un-like me, I've never really been an earth-tone person before. My old bedroom is a beautiful purple w/a very romantic border and comforter.

Brandy - I don't know what you mean - hide the sacrificial cookies and critics voodoo doll? *snort* Not me ... *gg*

Jill - More of your books than you have? Wow.

Lis - I knew you'd appreciate the orbs. Cool huh?

Your room looks beautiful! Everything from the color to the cross-stitch makes it seem warm and cozy. Bravo!

I see the orbs too.

What happened to the alter at the "Shalvis Shrine"?

Susan - the alter is in the closet with the effigy, portrait, candles, critic voodoo doll, thin mints sacrificial cookies, life-size standing cut-out, bear and goose voodoo dolls, and knealing rug. LOL

I think I need a second cup of coffee.

Oh and the orbs are not in every picture - even ones taken in the same position. Really odd.

I agree with Sandy and Brandy. I also do most of my reading in bed. It's nice to have a room you are comfortable in.

Mama just wants to be remembered :)

You must have cleaned out the closet to get the candles, cookies, alter...and all that other stuff for the alter in there now... hee hee!!

I love that color, Georgia Clay.

My bedroom is the same color! 3 walls that color and one wall white. Earth colors are my first choice and mauve is my second favorite.
