Never Separate ...

A girl and her power tools.

That's Neely Shae - see why I can't get anything done? She takes too many breaks for catnaps.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that Joely is giving away an interesting looking book on her blog - the contest goes until Friday.

She's definitely getting a lot more use out of it than I have lately. *gg*

Jeanne - she's a little over 8 1/2 - 9 in January.

Loreth - she's surrounded by boy kitties, so she may be hugging that for protection. LOL

Lis - and she's very sweet. All she wants in the world is to be petted and loved on.

Oh, cutie pic. (Mind you, if any screwdrivers or the like go missing in our house, you find the dog and you find... um... bone substitute)

What *does* she do with that dumb-bell look-alike? Looks as if she's hugging it but is it that soft?

You do have your problems, don't you? LOL

I was going to ask if it's her substitute "hunk". Well, if it's giving her protection... She just looks so sweet.

How's the weather down there? Our heat's let up a bit but it's supposed to get hotter by Saturday. I was supposed to go to my soon-to-be niece's shower on Sunday but I'll have to figure out how to get back. It's about 100 miles and my brother's family had to choose this week to take off up north. Maybe I can get to Burlington somehow and get home by bus. Haven't figured it out yet.

By cousin's second oldest daughter is coming to go to school here until Christmas and she's arriving tomorrow in Toronto. Both her mom and older sister spent time in Canada going to school. Therese actually started school in La Jolla, CA while her father was doing research at the Salk Institute. So she and her 2 younger sisters attend the American High School in Berlin, Germany. I suppose that the two younger ones will eventually follow in their footsteps too. She'll be living with my sister. My mother, sister and I met the family down in San Diego in 1997 just before they had to return to Europe. Laurenz was studying artificial intelligence among other things.

Hope you have a good night's sleep and your mom too. Have a great Wednesday. I hope your mother is continuing to do better than before you took her to the doctor.

Aw, what a lovely pic. I always wondered if a use could be found for all these power tools. :o)

What a cute kitty picture! Thanks for sending people my way. I love giving away books -- wish I could afford to do it more often!!

I don't know why she's decided that hard, metal electric screwdrivers are the thing to cuddle with - we have been watching a lot of stuff like If These Walls Could Talk, so maybe she's picked up some hints and will start earning her keep.

The weather here is extremely hot - temps of 100 and above all week. I am not amused.

What a cutie!

Sorry to hear about the heat you're suffering through and your going to hate me now because the highs here are in the mid to upper 70's.

She looks like a handy cat to have around and you'll never go wrong with a laser level and a powersander for presents! Too easy! ;)

I knew you would. lol

Susan - Have I mentioned that I hate you. ;)

What a sweet kitty! It makes me miss my two. My son is doing the best he can but I'm looking forward to getting home on 22nd August just to see how much Sophie has grown and to "help" Charlie get over his jealousy.

So what are these instruments Neely Shae is hugging, an orbital sander? At least you guys know what they are, I have no clue. The tool I use most is a rubber mallet to get my shower back to the faucets--ya know what I mean? All the tools that I have are still from my father and he bought the last one before 1973 when he suffered his stroke.

It's an electric screwdriver Ruby.
