TaaaDaaaa

Here it is, the bane of my existence for the last 4 days. I did very little blogging on Tuesday just to get to this point. It isn't done, but I've had it for a few days. The program I have to use kept freezing on me and took longer to download things than Loreth's blog. It's not the way I want it to look yet - but that's the best of what was available. I will be changing it as soon as my HTML for Dummies arrives. Anyway, I've been domained. I have WIP's to add and another favorite authors page.

The heat here has been unbearable, the drought vicious. My grass is almost brown - water restrictions everywhere. We had a system come through Tuesday night which lowered the temp from the 100s to the 80s, but the humidity is still bad. 50% chance of rain on Wednesday and we are in desperate need of it.

Where's everybody go? Don't blog for a couple of days and everyone takes off. Hmmmm. BTW - does anybody know what happened to Peggy Ann Craig's site? I keep getting a real estate company.

This is so you, Bailey! It is a great site. Love the cats! And I am starting Jill's Aussie Rules tonight!

The cats are not staying - they're not "writerly".

Thanks Brandy!

Thanks Lis! I worked on that one.

Sandy - you'll love Aussie Rules.

So, the cats should stay? I was thinking of something more romantic. And there's a dog there.

WAY GREAT!!!!

I love it too!!!!

I like the cats, they are you, but I agree it is not very "writerly" nor is it romantic or even comic...but they are really cute :)

Here in Casper at 9:30 it is only 72...down right chilly outside :)

Shut up Glenice. *g* It's only supposed to get to 96 tomorrow - whoohoo get out the heavy coats, a cold-front's coming through.

That is so cool.

I just read a little piece on Back In The Bedroom where the h is thrown and locked in a bedroom by burglars with a man who is only wearing his boxers. Oh the possibilities.

Oh Christa, it's wonderful - I just love that story.

Congrats on being...
domainated?? lol!
(love the kitties). ;-)

Very nice website! Love the cats! ;)

Your kittie banner is gorgeous! You have to keep them somewhere... ;-) Congrats on the domain. Feels good, doesn't it! Wish I could send you some of our cool weather, after a "hottest on record" July in England we are now back to intermittant rain. We've even had the fire on some of the evenings. Typical for us though... sigh.

I like the cats, too!

It's still pretty miserable here, too. I'm ready for cooler temps.

I couldn't find Peggy either and was wondering the same thing.

Great work on the website - congrats on getting it up there!

Bailey Stewart said...

Raine - LMAO.

Listen ya'll, the kitties are not necessarily staying.

Loreth - actually, it was slower than your blog. LOL ;) Thigs aren't the same as thugs are they?

Saskia - our lakes are down feet, not inches and it's hurting the crops - same in the midwest too. We had the hottest July on record too I think. Anyway, we desperately need some rain.

Kelly - I'm getting kind of worried.

Tori - I think the entire central U.S. has had over the top temps.

Joely, Jordan, Emma, and Kathleen - thanks.

I love your site! It looks great.

LOVE the website, Bailey! The cats at the top are just so cute. And I do think they're writerly - lots and lots of authors talk about their cats. :-)

I absolutely LOVE it! Every bit of it! I like the cats too.

I like the cats. In fact, I may use a cat theme when I redo the blog. I'm just looking for something romantic and comedic - maybe even a cat couple doing the tango complete with a rose in her teeth. Get the idea? I'm really looking forward to working on the blog - I'm not looking forward to re-working the website because that site builder is a bit*#.

Great work! And don't you know the fascists at work have blocked all the blogging sites??? How am I going to waste time now?

I've been away for a few days and I come back to find you've been even busier than usual! I'm SO impressed. It's a FAB website. But PLEASE let the cats stay in one form or t'other!

I think we need to send a search party out for Peggy.

Love the site. That's awesome. Sorry about your drought, we are seeing more heat again but it is the normal kind. Hope you get rain.

Congrats, Bailey! What a nice surprise! The cat couple sounds like a good idea!

Wonderful job! It's certainly unique--just as you are. I love how you wrote that. In writer's speak I guess that means your voice.

Jill should pay you some of her royalties for your accolades. You did a wonderful job of describing her books.

I guess those are your cats up at the top. Are they in the order you named them? I can never remember which is which. And why can't the cats stay? You can give one a piece of paper, a pen to another, etc. They're so cute.

Really well done and a wonderful surprise.

BTW, I'll have to con either my nephew or my niece into letting me use their computer, probably the former. My niece has too many of her precious photos on her laptop to risk them in somebody else's hands. If I don't show up, I'll be back home on Aug. 28. My sister and brother-in-law will be picking me up in about 2 hours. Therese, my cousin's daughter from Germany, is going camping with my nephew and a bunch of his friends and so she has to be back by 9:30 tonight.

Hugs to you and your mom. BTW, that other picture was good but I love this one with the brilliant smile. Lightens my heart every time I see it.

Looking good, Bailey! And I like the kitties, too. Excellent!!

Bailey Stewart said...

Marty - No ... the nerve of them. LOL

Thanks Siobhan. Hope you're feeling better. I may put the cats (mine) as the blog design.

No Ruby - this is a pre-designed template, those are somebody else's cats (it said sleeping cats, but I swear that one looks like a dog).

Thank you Meretta and Carol.

So I pull up weatherbug to check the temp. On the forcast side it says the high today will be 98. On the thermometer side it says the temp is 101 with a heat index of 108. Looks like somebody goofed in their forecasting. But there are little rain clouds all around us.

oh darn it ate my post

I vote for having something to do with cats (but of course lol).

Love the site. I think most of us want that HEA and enjoy these romances because it's what we want in life but not what we usually get.

Everything is brown here too but at least it's in the 80's and not 90's.

Brandy said...

I vote you keeping some form of cats. Cat's are usually associated with intelligence, books, writers and even romance(sensuality). And a big bonus, they suit YOU, your personality and life!

Oh, ans it defintely looks like a dog in the mix with those kitty's.

I love your website...you did a great job though I missed you being around!

The cats are the ticket!

Bailey Stewart said...

Devon- yes, that's one of the things I plan to go back and fix - I just got tired of working with that program, needed a rest from it.

Ah, a miracle. I can leave a comment. I LOVE your site and the cats are gorgeous. Of course they're writerly. Heavens, how could we write without our cats helping? :o)
