It's Spamarama Time

What's been in my in-box lately. Well, let's see.

Holiday inflection (Would that be the Irish accent I use on St. Patrick's Day?)
Illegitimate movements noted (Hey, my parent's were married)

Your family., dull-eared (Oh that will get me on your side real quick - your family lizard breath)
We don't care what you think about us (Obviously)
Emerging Growth (I shaved last year)
Your neighbors lost their alarm clock (one, two, three ... I.Don't.Care.)
Illegal action shown (Just because my neighbors are stupid doesn't make it illegal)
You never know (I know that half of my dull-eared family would be in prison if it were)
Trouble remembering things (Not me, my alarm clock is right next to my bed)
Hi palate bone (Hello shoulder blade)
Look awesome by Springtime (Only if you have a magic wand - haven't you noticed? It's almost Summer)
Local Homeowner's Association is trying to expel YOU (Let them try - they'll lose more than their alarm clock)

As usual am loving Spamarama Friday!! I wish I had your ingenuity. For the giveaway IF NO ONE ELSE wants it, may I request Bad Boys Over Easy? Has your headache gotten any better?

This is very cool, Eve. It’s Thursday at 9:50 p.m. here in Oregon and when I popped into your blog it’s already Friday where you are--which means I get to read Friday Spamarama without waiting until the morning. Woohoo!

This post was great fun as usual. I have to wonder what in the heck spammers are thinking when they come up with stuff like “Hi palate bone.” I mean, who is that meant to attract? LOL

Loved your Poor Thursday post. Favorite line: “Or His Girl Thursday instead of His Girl Friday - honest, Cary Grant would have been just as good whatever day of the week.” You got that right, Eve! :-D

I just read through your posts about your redecorating (good pics, Eve). It’s always a chore and the work can be tough, but it’s so wonderful once all the work is done. I was out most of the day yesterday (unchained from the computer for a whole day!) buying paint, new kitchen cabinet door pulls (sheesh, they’re expensive!) and some replacement light fixtures, etc. I’m really looking forward to when all the work is finished!

Fun Fridays! Always look forward to them.

Like the sundress. Went shopping last night for something to wear this morning and I swear they are only making clothes for small young girls. When I was young and thin, 'big' clothes were in. Now that I am older and um..'wiser' all that have is close fitting, sleeveless attire.

Go figure!

Brandy - it's a one person draw this time, so your chances are as good as anybody elses. And the headache is a lot better - still waiting around, like it could come blaring back at any time.

Daisy - I post (depending on how tired I am) anywhere from 9:30p.m. to midnight (central). The time of the post is correct, I just set the date for the next day so I can keep track of things. And is calling my family dull-eared supposed to mean something? The re-decorating is supposed to finish? *gg*

Sandy - I've always preferred baggy clothes.

unless they think we're really ugly and it will take til next spring to make us presentable - LOL!

OMG - I hadn't thought of that (goes screaming through the house)

Spamarama Friday makes my week. I love your witty comments and there is no way they could do better!

Can't wait to see the pictures of your newly decorated room. Hopefully that headache will stay away.

Dennie - Bite your tongue! LOL

I love Fridays! I would love a copy of The Protector by Gennita Low if I'm lucky enough to win!

I'm glad you are feeling better. I really hate it when I have a sick headache!

Susan - thank you. I'm, um, kinda doing the finishing up paint dabbing right now. I hope to start unpacking boxes this afternoon (if I don't give-in at nap time) - so maybe pictures by the end of next week?

Christa - Same thing with the male oriented stuff - I'm not a man, quit sending them.

Carol - the headache seems to be sliding away - except for a little sinus pressure. I'm not sure how it's going to react to the renewal of the paint fumes, but we'll see.

I think I'm doing pretty good - I've knocked off three things from my 6 item to-do list for the day. WhooHoo.

Hey - has anyone noticed that I've been playing with my links lay-out? My Thursday night co-worker (for at least one more week as he's moving on) knows html and divided it up for me. I have a few more things to add and a little tweaking, but I'm pleased. If anyone feels they are in the wrong "category", let me know. I consider the writing of or publishing of anything (short stories, poems, novels, etc) worthy of inclusion in the writer's links.

If I want to wear a dress I'd have to shave my legs. In the summer if I want to go out it's like a two day thing, one day to shave my legs(that takes a lot of energy), the next day I can go out.

Anonymous said...

LOL! You get the weirdest spam! And what is up with your neighbors' damn alarm clock??? *g*

Bailey Stewart said...

Christa - I decided a couple of years ago that I would shave my legs when I wanted to. I was sitting there thinking of all of the reasons to shave: 1)You shave under your arms because of hygene - keeps the sweat at bay - no reason for the legs; 2)you shave your legs to attract a mate - too busy and tired for that right now; 3) you shave your legs because society said to? I don't think so. If I'm going to wear a dress - I think I wore one 3 times last year, then yes, I'll shave them.

Tori - I don't know. That one comes in at least once a week, sometimes twice and from different sources. I've never opened it, but I have to say that I'm curious - although it won't have anything to do with neighbors or alarms.

Bailey Stewart said...

I just checked my bulk mail - you've got it - my neighbors lost their alarm clock again. Sheesh ...

Joely Sue Burkhart said...

I love your spamarama Fridays!!! Still waiting for the Hugh Jackman replicator to arrive in MY inbox.

Bailey Stewart said...

Don't hold your breath - because it hasn't arrived here either.

Jordan Summers said...

Wow, you're going all out here. I've had so much crap hit my blog lately that I just want to shout. I don't need discounted drugs, penis enhancers, new ring tones, or quick draw poker tips. Grr... I wish I could send stuff back to them.

Anonymous said...

ROFLMAO--everyone in my office is reading your blog now!

Christa said...

Maybe the neighbors should attach the alarm clock to the night table. LOL.

catslady said...

I really look forward to these spam fridays lol.

Good luck on all your boxes! Can't wait to see the pics.

Oh I'm getting another "Shalvis" *G*

Please enter me for the Sword of Darkness - I've been hearing about it on some groups and it sounds good. Thanks for the chance!

It's a riot!

Thanks- Kristie

Glad to hear the headache is better. And that you are finishing up the redecorating. I just got a spam email this afternoon, winner cranberry. Um, ok? What? Dh had to warn me (like I'm a ninny or something) that you are never to respond to the spam, even to try to disenroll from getting them. I turned to him, rolled my eyes and reverted to teenage years "Well DUH!!" Men! (By the way I may be loopy in responses. On 3 prescriptions for pain, yea! me.) You know that might explain this long winded comment. SORRY!

Toni Anderson said...

Hi Eve!! Phew what a busy day.
THANK YOU for the book. It arrived today :)

I'm going to count my TBR pile again soon. It is making DH twitch!

Michele said...

going on blog hiatus for the weekend , just so you know.
Have a great holiday, Eve!

LOL As always, these are great. I just don't dig how you do it. I'd probably have to sit here for hours to think up even one.

Daisy, I thought you were looking forward to starting your renovations. (grin)

In the 70s when I was in Germany, I'd read articles that made fun of American women shaving. Shaving was unknown to me and my mother until my sister started shaving. Little sister had to teach Mom and older sister a few tricks. I was never there when my friends got themselves dolled up. I'm not sure where my sister did.

I was wondering if I should show some before and after pictures of *my* place. Things are a little better now than they were. But there's a looooong way to go.

Did I miss yesterday's blog? It's quite possible because I was working most of the time on that stupid document that disappeared into Cyberspace. I didn't know you were being attacked by headache bombs again. With me it's mainly noise that threatens to turn me into a screaming minnie or is it ninny?

Take care.

Oh, yeah, my choice. I think I don't have "Code of Honor" by Catherine Mann, especially if it came out last fall while the big move was on. Some other good ones there too like Jill's "Room Service".

Eve, love your taste in books! =D

Hi Eve! I'm a friend of Toni's. I loved your "Spamarama" - very creative! I'm with Brandy, I wish I could think up things to do with useless stuff like penis enhancers and neighbors alarms clocks.
I don't know if I can ask, being new, but could I put my name in for the Robin D. Owens book? :)
Cheers!

That Thursday post wwas inspired, Eve. And the spamarama - lizard breath... you do know you've just put a new character in my head and it's not one I'm meant to be working on? *g*

Um, if nobody wants it, could I put my name in for Free Fall, please? Didn't make it over this side of the Atlantic (grr).

Bailey Stewart said...

Laurie - welcome. Any friend of Toni's is always welcome here. Come back and visit again. Spamarama? I don't know if it's creative or indicative of the need for the men in the white coats to come and visit me. You are not too late for the drawing - that is always Sunday evening, so your name will be included.

Kate - paint fumes will inspire a lot of things. *gg* And spamarama brought on a lightbulb moment? - oh I can't wait to find out about this one. LOL And as I said to Laurie above - as long as you put in your name before Sunday evening you are in the draw.

Amie Stuart said...

Dennie may be on to somehting.........*sigh*

I'm throwing my hat in for The Protector. If we can play again?

Bailey Stewart said...

Cece - you can play every month. Just so long as you get your name in by Sunday evening - and you did it.
