Shameless Promotion Time

A whisper away from thirty, gorgeous Tess Hamilton has been the tennis world's top title holder and celebrity since she won her first championship at fifteen. Now the headline-making party girl is getting her first taste of mortality -- and bankruptcy -- thanks to new teenage phenom Gabrielle Fontaine. But it's Gaby's cool, calm, and all-too-collected brother and manager, Max, who really has Tess seeing double. He's the first man she can't seem to seduce -- or intimidate. It appears Tess is truly off her game, until a real-life, modern-day fairy godmother steps in....
Aurora Favreaux, a founder of Glass Slipper Inc. and fold family friend, has a plan to get Tess back on her stilettos, and it includes an unlikely meeting between Tess, Max, and Gaby, at Glass Slipper's new London headquarters -- just in time for Wimbledon. It seems that Tess is going to hit the courtst in a whole new way, to prove to the world -- and herself -- that a woman with the heart of a champion can ace life and love -- even after the big 3-0....

I'm thrilled to pieces that I won this book and got it in the mail today! My tbr pile is ready to topple but I'm not complaining :)

Do that Brandy.

Yes Toni - it does look good.

Jeanne - you'll have to give us a review.

Off to bed now - I managed to write 675 words on the WIP tonight. Not as much as I would like, but since I haven't written anything in weeks - it'll work.

Sounds like a great book--thanks for the recommendation. =D

Love the cover on this one. Looks good!

I have read a bunch of her books, yes she is fun to read.

I added my two cents worth of names on the previous post.
Fun doings.

Have a fun day, Eve!

Kelly - Donna is one of my auto-buys.

Lis - thanks, but now I'm thinking I might delete it all. *cringe*
Yes, it is a great cover.

Yes Loreth - 5:00a.m. comes awfully early.

Michele - interesting source for names - y'all go over and look at where she got them. And yes, Donna is a fun read.

Bailey Stewart said...

You're paying? Jill doesn't pay. Wait, what am I saying ... (slap me). LOL

Like I said - you're one of my auto-buys, I don't need any reviews or back of the book blurbs to pick up your books.

Thanks for dropping by.

The Glass Slipper books are a lot of fun!

Love that cover and blurb. Will definitely be an auto buy for me as soon as I get the bookstore. I have not read Donna yet, but have a feeling I will become a regular.

Congrats on the word count, Eve!

Tori - I'm going to read them. Honest.

Donna - LOL Nope, haven't you read Jill's post today - I think she's out of them. Poor baby. I can pass on ice cream - my weakness is double stuffed Oreos. And a tall glass of milk. Big Brother? No, no, no, no, no, no - and in case I haven't made myself clear on this - no! I ain't doing Big Brother - wait, that sounded bad (get your mind out of the gutter). But I will try So You Think You Can Dance tonight.

Sandy - you'll love Donna's work. You haven't read any of them? Not even the Bad Boys series? How about Men of Courage both 1 and 2? I loved The Big Bad Wolf Tells All Oh, definitely pick one up. If you love Jill's sense of humor, you'll love Donna's. Word count? I think it's going to change - I'm not happy with what I wrote last night, which may be why I didn't get to my 1,000 words like I wanted to.

This book sounds like a lot of fun! I will definitely check this out.

Welcome Kelly, and do check it out - I have a feeling the more sales the bigger my check. LOL

I've never read one of Donna Kaufmans book but really want to read this one!!! I plan to pick it up soon. It looks so good. Then, I'll have another author to add to my ever growing list of authors to read.

The book sounds quite interesting! I put the final version of the carnival story up today, and will submit it tonight...

Bailey Stewart said...

Kelley - while Jill will and is always number one on my list, Donna is in my top 5. Please give her a try - you will NOT be disappointed.

Bailey Stewart said...

Scott - you snuck in while I was responding to Kelley. I thought you weren't going to post it yet? I'll get over there and read it. Keeping my fingers crossed. Well, on the left hand, because the right one is crossed for Sandy.

Bailey Stewart said...

Loreth - yeah, I hear you - 6:00 a.m. isn't that much better either. And I ended up staying up way too late last night.

I haven’t read anything by Donna Kauffman or Jill Shalvis yet but this post and your last one really peaked my interest in their books, Eve. I’ll definitely consider adding these to my TBR pile, which is already so big I almost need a separate room for all the books--LOL--but one can never have too many books, right? ;-)

It’s wonderful the way you highlight different writers and their books on your blog, Eve. It helps readers to discover terrific new authors and titles. I like your personal comments and take on the books because it adds an extra spark of interest. I certainly did appreciate it when you did the same for me and my latest book. :-)

Your enthusiasm and wonderful personality comes across in every post write, Eve, which is why I enjoy visiting your blog so much. It’s a lovely respite after spending long hours writing.

As for naming your characters for your anthology, Eve, years ago I read an article by some famous author who said obituaries were one of the greatest resources for writers for finding character names as well as story ideas. He was right. I know it sounds a bit gruesome and scanning those marvelous little mini-histories frequently has me crying bittersweet tears, but I have found some truly wonderful ideas using this method.

Personally, I’m looking forward to the day that your name and book are featured across blogland. I can tell by your flair for writing that it’s bound to happen before too long! :-D

looks interesting - I read the books that Jill had on her quiz last week (or the one before cannot even remeber when) I'll have to check it out...

Bailey Stewart said...

Thanks Susan.

Cece - can I say that cover so rocks! yes you can.

Duchess - thank you for the compliments - so, how big should I make this check? *gg* I already do the obituary thing - dad said a long time ago to start your day with the obituaries - if your name isn't there, you can get up and do something. Actually, the historian/genealogist in me can't resist them. I already have a character in one book whose name came from an obit. I actually enjoy finding names myself - just thought this would be a fun way to give away Jill's book. Personally, I’m looking forward to the day that your name and book are featured across blogland. That means a lot to me - now from your mouth to my muses ears ... kind of have to write the sucker before anything can happen. Damn technicalities.

Dennie - please do. And if you don't like it, I'll give you my firstborn. What do you mean I don't have any children? There ya go getting technical again.
