I've Had Days Like This

EDIT: Jo Leigh had a contest where she's giving away copies of backstock. The contest is over, but she still has 8 books to get rid of - get over there if you're interested.

Three old men are at the doctor for a memory test.
The doctor says to the first old man, "What is three times three?"
"274" was his reply.
The doctor worriedly says to the second man, "It's your turn. What is three times three?" "Tuesday" replies the second man.
The doctor sadly says to the third man, "Okay, your turn. What's three times three"?
"Nine" says the third man.
"That's great!" exclaims the doctor. "How did you get that"?
"Jeez, Doc, it's pretty simple," says the third man. "I just subtracted 274 from Tuesday."

I got this one from Ruby and thought y'all would enjoy it too. I'll be working with the boss this morning, so no internet until I get home. Have a great Saturday.

Toni - It's going to be in the upper 90's and I have to work with the boss - that doesn't bode well for "nice day". *gg*

Lis - I think I've had a year like that.

Brandy - I bet you feel real "floaty". LOL

Diane - that's the best kind to receive.

I hope you are feeling ok and that the paint fumes didn't bother you. I hate the smell of paint!

Cute joke!

Thanks for telling us about Jo's contest. I hope I get one of her books. She is a new author for me.

Tori - I'm waiting for that nice day.

Jeanne - I'm glad you're getting a book. I love Jo's stuff.

Sandy - I'll get over there to read it.

Carol - Jo is one of my favorite authors. The paint fumes are almost gone.

Joely - me too.

Susan - I lucked out, he got someone else to come in. He still had to come out and let us in. Then, before he left he told me to go next door to the stock room and box/shelf books. The guy who usually does it is on vacation (hence my having to "work" with the boss). Problem is, there's no a/c over there. After about an hour and a half of heat and cottonwood I decided that 5 bags was enough and went back next door. My co-worker said I was beet red - I felt like it. Really drained me and I'm still dragging. Have I mentioned lately how much I hate heat?

You need to stay as cool as possible for the rest of the day. Sounds like you were close to heat stroke. I hope you feel better!

Drink lots of water and sit down :)

I'm drinking lots of water and I am sitting (kind of hard to type at the computer standing up *gg*) I'm just trying to stay awake until mom's bedtime. This is one of the times I miss Bebo being here because then I could go on to bed. It's happened before - which is why I hate Texas heat. Of course, now I have the headache again because on top of the heat there is a cottonwood tree right outside the backdoor (which had to be open in order to let in some air). Now I'm clogged up again. Just really, really tired.
