Ahhhhhhh

There's a cold front coming - get out the heavy coats, marshmallows and hot chocolate. WhooHoo. Oh, well maybe not, but it will be cooler - lower 90s and a chance of rain.

I've discovered that I have a hardwood floor in the study. It had been so long that I'd forgotten. LOL I'm still working on it and hopefully by the middle of the week I'll be able to make some kind of review. I hate to show it when it isn't done, but it'll be a few weeks before I'll be able to get out and buy the last touches, so why not.

Writing - not a happening thing this week, neither was sleep, but the cleaning has gone well, so one out of three ain't bad. I'm still working on the blogging thing, and if my cousin Joan comes through with the laptop I think I have it figured out. See, I already have a networking system - all I'll need to do is get a thingymabob (love my technical talk?) to attach to it and I'm off and running. I can blog while I'm sitting with mom!

Guess this is all for today - I know, such an inspired post, but we all have days like this.

Would a thingie mabob be a router? Fun thing hooking those up, NOT!! Hope the laptop comes throug, I know they are the best thing ever. And I know you want to keep near your Mom. I'm glad you're getting your study together. I am however, sorry to hear the writing is not going like you'd like. Especially since I want to know how the stories on your website end! (much pressure you don't need right?) Sorry.

I just talked to Joan and she says that the router(?) that I already have for the computer (we got it so Bebo could use my internet in her room) will fit the laptop, sooooo, she's shipping it on Monday. This means I'll be able to blog like usual, because I can do it while watching a movie with mom. Writing will be okay once I get this cleaning stuff done. I'll be able to write in the evening. And I'm glad that the excerpts make you want to read the books - that means a lot to me. Well, I'm off to bed now - I'm to the last story in Bad Boys Southern Style and those who have read the book knows whose story that is. *gg*

The laptop will really help--I miss mine. Had one for my job, and ended up writing three manuscripts with it instead, lol. Good luck!

Good luck with the thingymabob.
I always have trouble with the whatchamacallits myself.
But the whosits are pretty easy to deal with.

You are doing better than I did! My thingie mabob gave me so much trouble I had to hire Comp USA to come get it working.

Will be getting out my winter clothes for this weekend.

The heat wave finally broke here! We have a high of 72 today and rain showers.

Aren't wood floors the nicest! Can't wait to see the pics.

I love your Isn't It Romantic website!

I'm glad you will be able to be with your mom and blog at the same time.

Actually, we've cooled down quite a bit. Yesterday, the forecast was for around 80, but right now it's more like 70. Sure feels a lot better, though inside here it still feels "soggy". Quite a change from 90s and feels like 108s. I might actually get to do something today, like getting some groceries. Hate the long bus drive and the lugging. However, I do need to eat.

Oops, forgot I need the identification. Had to turn on my picture capability.

Oh, no, more high 80s by Wed again. I do so not like heat like most of us here.

I'm glad you're getting your laptop soon. Even I have been thinking of getting one with all the noise around here. Certainly *not* a place I can concentrate. So I figured I'd try to get one with monthly payments and go work in the library--even the downtown one if I have to. It's only about 15 min by bus.

Well, it is supposed to rain this afternoon. Maybe I'll call one of my friends and see how she's doing. I also need to get some meds refilled.

At any rate, time to move. Hope the weather still gets cooler for you.

Hugs for you and Mom.

It's been really hot here in the UK too and we're just not prepared for it - our houses are designed for cold weather. Maybe Charlie Cat has taken to the woods to cool off. It's my only hope. Great news about the laptop. We're "wire less" on the internet at home and it's great 'cos I can take my laptop and write in the garden if I want. But it's been too hot for that and now I've got a tummy bug. Grrrr.

Loreth - somehow, they adapt. I'm not sure how, but they do seem to survive the heat.

Marty - I'm just looking forward to being able to blog without leaving her by herself.

Kelley - I bet you've been enjoying it, I can't wait.

Raine - I don't know, I almost married a whosit once. *gg*

Sandy - tomorrow morning is going to be gorgeous.

Susan - high of 72? I'm not talking to you. And if I were I'd say Thanks, I'm enjoying that review site and their should be another review coming up in the next couple of days.

Ruby - I'm glad it's beginning to cool off there and yes, you do need to eat.

Siobhan - sorry about the tummy trouble, probably stress? That's it, Charlie's headed for cool clime and will be back soon.

Having a laptop sounds great. My computer is set up where the tv is otherwise I would go nuts.

callwave - an internet phone messaging co. I have dialup so if I get a phone call it leaves the message on my computer. Of course when I called I was talking to someone in another country. I think aol now has a service and I will look into that.

Hong Kong - the time flew by so fast it was like I wasn't even there - roflmao.

Hope all works out with the laptop. It will be a big help for you to be able to sit with your mom while you blog.

We’ve had a little heat wave here in Portland, OR the last few days too. Summers here are usually on the cooler side but this weekend we’re in the triple digits. Of course this has to happen on the weekend we moved our daughter into her new apartment. LOL

Hugs on no writing and sleep. I hope tomorrow will be better! It's getting cooler in this part of Texas, too, which is a nice change after a heat wave...
