Bubba Has Become a Basketcase

I blame the heat.

You know you’re in Texas in July when …

Your bathtub has been declared a natural hot spring.

Even with the A/C on, your lip balm in your bed stand is a messy puddle.

You spend hours trying to figure out a way to get the recliner and TV in to the freezer.

You see lizards running around with little a/c units stuck on their backs.

You begin to see desert mirages in your living room.

When you crack an egg, it’s fried before hitting the sidewalk.

The words “Is it hot enough for you” are grounds for divorce, assault with a deadly weapon, hangin’, etc.

Ice cream trucks are always given the right-of-way.

Bubba looks so content.

What did you Bailey, sent your neighbour's kids here. This morning at 7:30 (I don't do 7:30 am)there was this kid screaming (no screeching) outside. Of course I have the window open cause poor, deprived me doesn't have an air conditioner. I have this big @ssed fan that sounds like an airplane that I have to shut off when I want to watch tv otherwise you can't hear the tv. Needless to say I don't watch a lot of tv.
Well back to reading Just Try Me (like that's really going to cool me down, NOT)

Bubba's almost always content.

You know, I noticed that it was a little quieter around here lately. I'm reading Bad Boys Southern Style right now, and then on to Just Try Me.

Even if you are queen, I'm not thanking you. The only good thing that has come out of those kids waking me so early these days is that I'm getting a lot of reading done. read Bad Boys Southern Style, Surf's Up and half way through Just Try Me.
I need some help deciding what to read next. It's between Closer by Jo Leigh or Boys of Summer by Julie Elizabeth Leto, Kimberly Raye and Leslie Kelley. Those are the choices. HELP

Yesterday driving home about 6:45p after work the temp LED read 112 degrees. And we still have August to come. UUUUGGGGHHHHH!

Needless to say I don't wear makeup in the summer, it would just melt off the moment I walked out the door.

It's a bit like that over here at the moment, too - in sunny Blighty. It really is too hot. They closed the road outside Lindsay's eldest's school this afternoon because it (the road) had melted ...

Stacy - yes, and they have sirens too. *gg* Yeah, he's a cutie.

Bubba says Thank you Susan.

Susie - I wouldn't even be able to make it to the front door without it melting. I don't want to talk about August.

Diane - Yikes! We need to send some Texas highway workers over there and do it right.

Ok I got Bailey's vote for Closer, anybody else?

I have to do my tax returns. You'd think it would be easy when you don't earn anything!!!

I second the reccomendation for Closer! It was a great book!
Heat, ugh! I try not to go outside, but even 102 can't keep me from the grocery store.
Bubbab looks very cute and comfy!

I third CLOSER. :o) Awesome book.

We're getting the heat here too though not as bad. I hate it when you have the window open for air and the partygoers (aka drunk teenagers) decide to show up and blare music at 3 am.

Oh I forgot to say what a cutie Bubba is! :o)

What a great pic of Bubba. Aw.

As Diane said, the heat's a bit similar over here, and we're not used to it. Hope you're managing to keep cool.

I like your list of heat-wave indicators. We don't have any lizards around as far as I know.

Ice cream. Yep, I'll be heading out for that a little later. But...do I really want another sappy day tomorrow? Well, like it or not, I need some things to eat. So I guess I'll have to go. And actually it was cooler outside yesterday than it is in here. I just can't seem to get the heat out or the coolness in. Take your pick.
