Teach Me to Open My Mailbox

Dear Bailey,

May I start by saying we all love your new name, but I have a question. Bailey? Isn't that the cat's name? Anyway, I've been asked to write to you because it's no secret that I'm your favorite, after all you have a hard time writing for Skye. Nate tried to tell me that he was your favorite first, but I reminded him that he was getting a little long in the tooth, the gray popping out here and there - it was time for some new blood. Of course we got into a little fight, but hey, that black eye looks good on him. But I digress, the gist of this little note was to tell you that we understand you've been having some problems with your mother and we've been patient, but there's only so many trips one can take to the Bahamas and we want our stories told. You're tired, overworked, a bit overwhelmed, but maybe you could manage at least a page a day. Come on, a page isn't a lot to ask. Would it help if I got nekkid again?

Yours Truly,

Jordan

Dear Jordan,

I picked out the name Bailey Stewart a long time ago and the cat is only 1 year old, so I came first. I just looked at him and decided that he looked like Bailey's Irish Cream. End of that story. And you know you're my favorite, but you really shouldn't tease Nate like that, he doesn't have much of a memory you know so we should be kind to him. Thank you for being patient, I'm sorry to have neglected you all, but you're right, life has gotten a little tough around here. Your suggestion of a page a day isn't that outrageous and I'll give it a try.

Kisses,

Bailey

P.S. yes, getting nekkid would help, thank you.

Edit: Hugs and prayers to Brandy who's cat Squeekie is missing.

Oh yummy hero! But I say, I fear the day my characters start writing letters rather then that persistent whispering. Once they find that computer Sabrina just might decide I'm not needed *eeks*

LOL... Nina B has her Cat character - cosmic troublemaker- take over her blog sometimes...LOL
It makes for some wonderfully demented reading.
and Nekkid...oh yea..I just saw one of a buxom blonde bimbo with a really REaLLY short guy ... I'm talking, the Lollpop kids...nekkid
Geesh, You're guy is MUCH more stimulating. Hope he does it for you soon!
Inspire you ....
Hmmm, a page a day..one page would cover, what, 4 of the 6 pac?

Lis, it's probably because I've been ignoring their whispering. And I don't know how they got access to the computer.

Michele - You're so funny. You bring a smile to me everyday.

Who's Jordan?

(Sorry - ignorant.)

Aye, they will talk to you.
It starts with little suggestions...a page a day...a little more dialogue...before you know it, you've killed off your heroine so you can take her place!
;-)

Very, very scrummy. Yes, you can manage a page a day. One page a day. Hey, and get him nekkid. :o)

One page at a time sounds like good advice - I must get on with my WIP too. (I've let my condition be an excuse for too long, not that your situation is an excuse.) Love your 35 photo BTW!

Bailey Stewart said...

Diane - how soon we forget - let a WIP wallow for a while and the characters fade from my bloggers mind. Jordan Sinclair is the hero in Lonestar Reunion.

Raine - I've thought about it.

Shirley - he used to go nekkid all of the time, remember?

Thanks Siobhan, I'm still trying to make the picture work. :( And of course you haven't done a lot of work with your "condition", you've probably been too sore to sit up for any length of time.

I had a friend who named her little long haired terrier thing "Bailey" after "Bailey's Irish cream." That is truly wonderful stuff!

I wonder if I should let my cats Darius or Calista take over sometime. Better yet the Thugs (my nine month black labs).

I was trying to find your email...My typepad is being screwy. I am losing comments, can't reply...yada yada. Anyway your comment about your uncle really did make me laugh out loud. That was a favorite comment of mine ever!!!!

Well he is persitent isn't he. What a thing to look forward to, seeing him nekkid.

I think if Jordan gets nekkid, you should post that picture too. But that's just my opinion...

Scott said...

Ah, getting into character eh? Sorry about the cat. A friend of mine just lost his too.

To get Jordan nekkid again would be worth a page a day! :)~

Hope Squeekie is founed soon.

I had a dog named Bailey for the same reason :)

A page a day sounds like a good start. Hopefully things will start going better for you.

Can I just say, getting naked always helps.

Wont that hunka-hunka man getting nekkid sort of bypass ANY pages...I mean, sure the things you can write about after you wear him out and leave him to sleep it off....but before?!?! Nope, nekkid first, play next(and eat your wheaties for stamina), then work...that is if you are thru playing with the muse....

Still laughing from some of these comments.

One of my cats disappeared twice in the last 11 years - once for a week and once for 10 days. After the last adventure he came and sat next to me for a week lol and he hasn't tried to get out since. Hope Squeekie shows up soon.

If Jordan looks like Hugh, it is a REQUIRMENT that he get nekkid!

Of course Jordan always brings a smile to the lips. Him runnin' around nekkid and there's drool on the chin.

Safe return for Squeekie ((Brandy))

Bailey , did you know that the bottom half of this guy is in a towel, and he's playing golf?
He's one of my earlier posts...
I think I labeled it "FORE!"
but we're talking skin . ...
teehee
I am so naughty..
so yeah, nekkid seems to work for many here....your fingers should be flying over the pages by now...*wink*

Imagine if you were a sculptor?!

Bailey Stewart said...

Well look at all of the company I've had. Hi y'all.

Michele - yes, the scene is from Swordfish, but I like to think there's no towel there.

Welcome Sheryl (waving)

I love seeing other people's hero's! Jordan needs to get nekkid and *you* need to write about it! forget the first three chapters! Get those pages flowing, and then see where else Jordan wants to take you, heheheheheh. Me, I need to get out out my world-building and character sketches and do a little scene writing myself. A frisky scene would do my good too.

{{{Hugs}}}to Brandy over Squeekie. Nothing worse than losing a pet, even if it's for a short time. Hope she's home soon.

Brandy said...

Thank you all for the well wishes for Squeekie. My poor baby is still missing and I just don't know what else to do. No one in the neighborhood has seen him, and I had to visit the saddest place on earth today to look for him (the local shelter). Bailey I appreciate the mention.

HUGH/JORDAN's NEKKID???!!!! Where?? Did I miss something here???!!!

Oh, jeez, get him back & get him NEKKID!!

Christa said...

Bailey
I hope you didn't get too sunburnt yesterday. If Jordan gets nekkid does that mean you have to show your tanlines (that's if you have any)?

Meretta said...

There's a lot of nekkidness going on around here. That's a good thing, right? ;)

Bailey Stewart said...

Laurie - I have the first three chapters. In fact, I have some scenes written further in the book (like the first love scene).

Bebo and Laurie - he isn't nekkid yet, he just said he might if I don't get writing. Maybe I'm just waiting for him to get to it. *gg*

Brandy - we're thinking about you sweetie.

Bailey Stewart said...

Meretta - that's a very good thing. I do tend to write more/better when my muses get nekkid.
