Blog Break

I've got to take another break from blogging. I'm trying to get things set up with mom, organize my life, see about writing and I'm not able to do that with my current blog schedule. With all of the blogs that I visit, I'm spending 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours each morning just blogging and that's not working. So I'm taking this week to rearrange things and see how I can fit everything into mom's life. My life revolves around her right now and I have very little time for myself. I will post (especially Spamarama Friday), but you won't see me out in the blogosphere (not even Jill's *sob*) until next Monday, July 24. This does not mean that during breaks I won't lurk here and there - so y'all behave yourselves. Maybe I'll do the first part of my list one day and the second half the next day - rotate it? I'll see, because I'm not dropping any of my blogs, I enjoy you too much. Anyway, continue to drop by because I will have something here - be it jokes from my email file, an update as to where I am in this rearranging phase, or even *gasp* pictures of a finished study. (yes, the study still isn't finished, I'm tired of climbing over boxes.) I will try to answer emails though. So y'all behave, have fun, take care and I'll see you next Monday.

BTW - I have a couple of giveaways coming up involving The Shalvis - just to whet your appetite a bit. More next week.

Nobody should blog if it interfers with life or work (she says spending 2 hours on a Sunday night trying to catch up LOL!!)
Your mom and writing should come first. Have fun :)

No worries--we'll check in with you :) Back away slowly...

Yep, 45 to 50 blogs a day will do it.

We'll miss you. But, we understand what it's like. Spend time with your Mom.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I will be checking in here daily.

And it's going to be a scorcher Monday - 104 degrees (that's without heat index). At least it won't be the record - that was 108.

I know how you feel about blogging. It takes up an awful lot of time.
Hope you manage to get things sorted out.
Sympathies re the heat. We've got another heatwave. It's supposed to get even hotter tomorrow too. They've threatened us with 100 degrees. Ooh, I'll be cranky.

We'll be here. I've had to cut back also since I got the new job so I don't blog quite as often. Maybe two or three times a week. I have noticed a lot of people have cut back. Don't know if it is because it is summer (and boy is it!) or life is so busy.

Hugs, Bailey -- take care of your mom and YOURSELF. We'll still be here.

I'll be taking a bit of a blog-break myself - but from posting rather than visiting. I do need to go around every so often and let people know I've been. But I have so little time at the moment. Go to the other place first with mine, if time's tight. There won't be much on the official one for a few days.

Good luck with everything, Bailey. Hope the week goes well.

Man, I hear you about the blog schedule. I'm going to get fired eventually if I don't come up with something else. It takes away from writing too. I too may have to take a break.

I don't even have 40-45 blogs a day and it still takes 2 hours of my time. Well, you guys know how long they can be. Or that I forget something and then comment 2 or 3 times.

You go ahead and take a break. That will be one blog not to comment on. (big grin) I've been trying to cut down too and here I go and find new authors who've just started to blog. (sigh)

Oh, its actually getting cooler in here. I've got my 3 windows and the door wide open. It was 90 in here all yesterday. Got to get it cooled down for the next onslaught of heat and humidity.

No, your health, your mom and your writing--concentrating on that will make you feel less stressed and overwhelmed. Very few bloggers write one daily like you do.

Hugs and prayers so that you'll find time for a break as well. It's essential.

P.S. Forgot to "put on the images." So I have to copy this and hope it's still "in the cursor" when the verification comes up.

See what I mean.

OK, I "dot it" as my niece used to say.

Okay, I'll drop by but try to make my visits short. Didn't get here during the weekend. Had to read some things to take back to the library. Still not done but getting there.

Hmm, either I got bitten on my knuckle or the heat rash is attacking.

Take all the time you need! Taking care of your Mom is important. Take care of yourself, too! Hugs!

Yikes! You must be serious if you're not even going Jill's! Hope you get every thing accomplished in short order.

Take care of yourself and spend time with your mom.

I find I'm not commenting on blogs as often. I find it harer to sit at the computer for 2 hours in this heat. I still read them but a lot of time I will get to them later. I find if I go through the blogs and then go do my grocery shopping it gets to be around 11 before I go and then it gets just too hot. Like tomorrow hopefully it will not be too hot cause it takes about a half hour to walk back and I don't want my ice cream bars to melt.

Shirley - right now at noon it is 96 degrees with a heat index of 103, also an Ozone alert (for those who are unfamiliar with this - pollution watch and anybody with lung problems are supposed to stay inside). Now, the high today is supposed to by 103 (they've backed off a degree), so if the heat index is 103 with a temp of 96 - can you imagine what it will be later on this afternoon?

Diane - I'm still going to lurk during breaks - this is actually my first one today, but I think it's nap time. Of course, the furniture store will probably call but oh well, I haven't had a nap for several days.

Did I say furniture store? Tomorrow's blog.

Scott - I plan to figure out a way to fit it in, that's part of the plan for this week.

I'm glad I can help you with your blogging Ruby. *gg* Try to stay cool sweetie.

Susan - I peeked - a cat ate her cookies and killed a mouse. (shhhhh)

Christa - try not to get too hot walking from the store - this heat can really mess with the body.

Okay - off for nap now. But I will check back later.

I completely understand, hon. I had to take a mini break last week, and will probably have to take another. Life happens, ya know?

Blogging has a way of taking over, doesn't it? I know I spend way too much time. Get everything in order and we will miss you. But we also understand. Glad you said something or I'd get worried.

I think we're all addicted and you started spending more and more time behind this "devil computer" until you have to just back off for a while until it starts drawing you back in again. Can't live with it and can't live without it. :)
